My assumption for the weird faiths is the original tags converted the land before falling to rebels, so they get sent back to a proper tag with the new faith

Bro I've been watching AI only battles since Durnil was a gleam in his daddy's eye and I've never seen VERMONT do so well in any game . Sometimes they have some early success before getting beat up elsewhere, but damn I approve.

Yo if you didnt already do it if you set the difficulty "very hard" the ai goes crazy they start declaring wars they cant win and have lots of bonuses like ccr and admin efficiency it really adds to the spectator experience
