- In this very short video I am out checking the local wildlife, and seeing what is about ready for the new year.
Also, I have been doing some research into the area finding out who owns the land and seeing permissions to roam freely across the fields and woodland., in the hope of setting up my own woodland hide and encouraging the wildlife to come through.

'Access Granted' When I saw the thumbnail, I thought, wherever it is, Ashley will capture something beautiful. And then, listening to you, I got so excited, anyone would think I got permission. This is fantastic news, both sides of the river, wonderful. What a year this is going to be, and we've already had the Cairngorms... Wow! Go Ashley :)
😁Cheers Joan, yeh good to be able to have unrestricted access to areas, knowing that in effect you are the only photographer around and that being on private land you're not going to get people walking by and disturbing you. so yeah looking forward to going out and starting the leg work of finding the wildlife and setting up some feeder stations. 👍
Great film very enjoyable regards Dave ❤
Beautiful and very interesting video.I like Kingfisher.
Well done Ashley, good news for you getting permission for access to land - something I must do this year. Looks like you will have quite a few options next year, of which I am looking forward to your future videos. Just wondering, where do you go for getting info on owns land and who owns it. Anyway, All the best - keep up the great work.
Happy New Year to you Ashley, great to hear that you have permissions on the land and look forward to more of your fab videos. I also found a brilliant area to photograph in an old Orchard, myself and Sue asked the owner and he was very chatty but the answer was a big NO. Have a great time. :)
Hi, yeh just been out today to put out some trail cams just to see what I can capture over the next couple of days, fingers crossed for some action which will mean I can set up some more cameras that other locations, I also went back to check of the owl and it was in the tree so that's another big plus, sorry to hear that you didn't get the permissions that you wanted, maybe next time. Anyway take care I'll speak to again soon 👍
Keep them coming Ashley enjoyed this as usual 👍
Nice one Ashley, looking forward to seeing what you manage to photograph on the farmland, hares certainly look promising
That's a good idea to ask for permission. I might try this if I can find a private woodland near me. Any tips/websites for finding private woodlands or is it just a case of walking around and asking locals as you did?
Hi and thanks for your comment, yes I photographed around this area many times last year seeking out the wildlife and what was around, knowing that there were many more fields and areas within the vicinity that are not accessible by public footpath, the only course I've action was to go to the Farmer and ask for permission to enter their land. I had spent some time looking over the land registry details and the boundaries. So that when I went to the farmer I could ID which boundaries were his and which were not.
I have spent some time thinking about what it was I was going to ask from the Farmer and what I could offer him in return saying that if I came across any broken fences, Gates or anything that didn't seem quite right I would obviously let them know. Ensuring that I have respect for the countryside and that I will not be climbing over his fences and Walls and that access will only be gained by gates ect...
@@WildlifePhotographerUK Thanks for detailed response. I am new to birding and not learned photography yet. I've just started vlogs with a GoPro and try video birds feeding. Just basic stuff I'm brand new to the hobby and don't know much. But I'm enjoying getting out and watching videos like yours that makes me want to improve and learn more. I'm not even sure there are any private woodland near Liverpool. When I've watched the likes of bushcraft videos I'd always thought they owned the woods they shoot videos in. But I bet most have simply asked permission.
