No wildlife this week - it's just to wet!

- Well this week it's been very wet and windy and I've been unable to get out with my camera, as I had intended to get out across to the borders and Yorkshire to hopefully photograph the dippers or the red kites and take a nice long walk over the tops and capture any wildlife on my day out.
Instead, I put a Izeeker trail camera out to see if my barn owl was still in the tree, fortunately, this was left out for a week not as I intended but with the weather being so bad I've just not been back out to the area anyway today I went out retrieved the camera, and had a look around at the local wildlife and the river in this diabolical wet states that were currently in at the moment.
Fingers crossed that spring will soon be here and the fields will dry up and the rivers will calm down and we can get back out to photographing the wildlife out in the English countryside.

Think it's one of the wettest winters we have had, rain that is snow etc excluded.
It's frustrating when you want to get out, and well it's a waste of time. Animals know better and stay indoors.
Roll on summer ☀️
It truly is awful how much rain we've had this winter.
Thankfully, here in our home town, its been wall to wall sunshine.
I wish😭😭😭
With you on Monday Ashley, fingers crossed for better conditions 🤞🤞
Lovely to have this update, Ashley, letting us know what's happening with you over there (heard about all the relentless rain). What a shame there was not even a little glimpse of the barn owl on that trail cam. Oh well... another time. Hope you capture some awesome poses of hares for next week (like those you took in the heather and snow... wonderful). Off to bed now.
Cheers Joan, thanks for the comment, sleep well down under, I think you need to send some of your lovely hot weather this way, 😀🌞👍we could certainly do with it, saves taking the supplement vitamin D tabs every day lol.
Glad I'm not the only one who has been moaning about it 😂
Fabulous place - must be even more wonderful in dry weather! When will this rain EVER stop and go away?! Enjoyed the video even if no wildlife!
I must give that trail camera a go as at present mine are all IR roll on the good weather 👍
I had a positive start to 2024, out 7 or 8 times before the end the Feb, but these last 2 weeks have been diabolical
it has been awful weather so far this year
We can never win with the weather in this country. It’s either floods everywhere or droughts everywhere, many signs of climate change. 😢
