Looking for Little Owls, but did I find any?

- Believe it or not that looking for wildlife is a lot harder than people think, a lot of the time information shared between other photographers and people, that have come across and seen wildlife and then share that information so people then take photos and you see all this online, If however you're not in the loop and you have no information or resources, then you have to go out on your own and find the wildlife.
So today I am doing just that I've got my camera some food and water and just headed out into the Yorkshire Dales looking for some wildlife, now my aim was to go out and see if I can find the little owls I know that the little owls tend to be around stonewalls and farms etc and empty barns and stone buildings that are around the Yorkshire dale's.
It did take me awhile somewhere in the region of six hours before I've managed to find and see a little owl, it was only one looking for food in a couple of fields before heading back off to its nest where I would assume it may have some young, so I knew location for me to head back to in the future I could be guaranteed some great encounters of the little owl, as it happened the owl was in farmland so when I return I could perhaps go and speak to the farmer and see if I can get access to the land so that I can spend more time freely wandering around and photographing the little owls.
All in all a great day out looking for wildlife with positive results.

Well done Ashley, perseverance and patience is the nature photographer's mantra - but that is why it can be very rewarding. Glad you got your target bird on the day. Generally speaking if i go out anywhere, I may have a target but even if I don't get them I will be satisfied if just got one shot of something at all.

Great video Ashley, lovely to see the Little owl out in the wild, perseverance does pay off! .... BTW, the Peregrines have been where you were the last three years, but we have only seen them from mid June onwards, we haven't been this year yet. Chris

Hi Fred, many thanks for your comment, yeh I know what you mean, I watch other videos and see birds from the USA, Australia etc, and often feel quite jealous lol
