Garden Birds - Simple wildlife photography

- In this next video, I'm just photographing the birds in my garden first thing in the morning.
I've been so busy with photographing for work, such as weddings corporate events family photo shoots working in the studio etc I've just not had time to get out into the field so just doing a couple of hours every morning in the garden doing some simple but relaxing wildlife photography.
In this video I'm just photographing the birds as they come into the garden whether that be the Robins the starlings the blackbirds all the Dunnocks, setting up my hide and getting really close to the garden birds and having them just interacting within a few feet from me is just absolutely fantastic.
This could not have been achieved unless I had used my Tragopan Hokki V3 hide, having it set up over the few days that I was using it the birds eventually got used to it being there and took no notice of me being in the hide with the camera.
A great few days spending a couple of hours each morning photographing the birds and looking forward to spending some more time using the hide and perhaps doing it when the weather isn't as nice as it was over the past few days getting some action shots of the birds shaking off the rain and the rain coming down whilst the birds are in the garden.

So many backyard birds ! And I love that the sun rises at 4:30 am… here in Northern California on our longest day, the sunrise is 5: 38 am. You are so much farther north than we are.
I just love the way the juvenile starlings beg for food even though they're capable of feeding themselves, great video
Great stuff, Sir! I do enjoy photographing the birds in my garden. I have put out a humming bird feeder in hopes of getting some images of them, but no luck as to yet.
I've been doing the same over these past few hot days - just sitting on the patio under an umbrella, with a mug of coffee, and my 70-300 and 150-600! We have had a good variety, for here, but only in ones and twos, really. No starlings at all though. Gosh those pointy bills look lethal for the juveniles! Enjoyed this video very much. Thanks for sharing.
Ahhh mate this is fantastic! Really just love this as it shows what can be achieved in your own garden without having to drive miles and miles !!!! Also, I now want one of those hides haha

The bird towards the end is a robin, just a very scruffy one which I have noticed with blue tits as well when they are busy feeding their young. They just don’t have time to preen themselves because they just don’t have the time 😅therefore end up looking particularly scruffy. I’m not sure if they are probably getting a new set of feathers as well towards the end of summer ready for the cooler days to come?
