A lot of people I know who have turned 30 say they feel more like themselves than they ever have. It seems like your 20s are an era of low self-esteem and naivety. 31 is just another installment in your decade of self-acceptance :)
If you have low self esteem and naivety all throughout your 20s please get a hobby which isn't just mindless consumption, exercise, eat healthier, and touch grass. For the naivety idk talk to your friends and ask people you find to live respectable and healthy lives for advice on how to proceed on decisions. No don't ask your friend who constantly makes bad decisions which wind them passed out on a toilet by the end of the night, anyone but them.
I recently turned 30, and I agree. You spend your 20's trying to ground yourself in the adult world. As I have begun my 30's journey I feel like I know myself better, my boundaries, needs, weaknesses...all that good stuff.

I honestly feel there's something really detrimental about the idea of 30 being some sort of precipice from which you can see the end of your life. 30 is still so, so young. With the way medicine is developing, there's a good chance you'll still have SEVENTY more years of life once you've hit 30, which is a CRAZY long time. It feels like the age for impending mid-life crises just keeps decreasing with every passing year, and I'm kinda getting sick of it. I'm 25 right now, and I too have a bit of age paranoia going on, but at least I can tell myself how ridiculous that is.
Sounds like you're treating every year of a 100 year life span as equal. In your 30s you have already seen the peak of your health, opportunities, and energy slide away, and every decade after that is just going to get worse, with more and more regrets piled on top.
