I just got my Latitude last week and I'm so in love with this little thing, I can't explain it. Yeah, it can use a bigger gas tank, But other than that I don't understand all of the griping I've heard about it. It drives like a dream. I've got the automatic, and drove a manual for 12 years. It's a relief to not shift all the time now. I didn't get it to haul ten people around in it. I didn't get it to drive up the side of a mountain. I got it for me. It handles beautiful. I have more than enough room and I'm a 5'10, curvy gal. All I have to say is to those thinking about getting one, go test drive it, and you'll have it parked in your garage soon after. :)
Thanks for the feedback winnydee48! You're right - it's a pretty good soft-roader for everyday driving.
So you still own the jeep and do
You still love it curvy gal?
I have one 2. It's my commuter vehicle I also have a brand new ram 1500. I dont think that gas mpg's are that great in the 2.4L tigershark motor. Plus it has a very small tank. I like to keep it about a 1/4 tank because that's hard on the fuel pump. As far as weather is concerned this thing drives pretty well in deep snow and light snow
Congratulation, I just got mine yesterday and I love it
@@thedrivermag hello and thank you for the review what type of gas does it except?
Love this car, I have had mine for a year, it just needs a larger fuel tank!
Dears can you please advise what is the optimum octane number for Renegade 2017 4*2 1.4 Litre Engine
i have a 2015 2.0 diesel 4X4 in uk, can do 7.0l/100km average, with a 48L fuel tank which can do around 600km of range, but fuel tank is still too small. I've seen one of the owner successfully fitted with the new Compass fuel tank which is 60 litres and with no issurs over 10K km run. I'm planning to try as well
Does anyone know where to buy a gas cap lock for the Renegade please? Thanks
I have a 2015 Renegade Trailhawk (2.4 L MultiAir) and at 23000KM I have an average of 9,3L/100KM - One canada winter so far.
I’m having 2017 renegade
I’m clocking around 9 - 10 km/L in sg despite I’m a careful driver
Any tips to better my fuel consumption?
I have a jeep what kind oil do i use
You must have a bit of a lead foot. I am averaging 8.5 L/100km since I got my Renegade, for a mix of around 50/50 highway/town driving. On a recent trip involving a lot of running around in Vancouver (you know, lots of traffic congestion) I got 8.6 L/100 km (approx, 120 km highway and 45 km city). I can get below 8 L/100 km for hilly highway trips only. Great vehicle, power when you need it, economical, uses regular unleaded gas, etc.
I took my Jeep Renegade trailhawk & had the computer " flashed" was getting 18 MPG'S now I'm getting 22 MPG'S Could be better but I can live with it.
Does anyone know where to buy a gas cap lock for the Renegade please? Thanks
i live in Saudi Arabia where fuel ratings are 91 and 95 octane. The user manual dictates 87 octane for 2.4 Tigershark engine. Will I use the closest octane rate from the recommended and use 91 octane?
Hi Matthew, yes you are right. Oil producing countries generally have high-grade fuels (between 91 and 98 octane), but the recommended 87 is just a minimum. You should be fine using 91 octane. Hope this helps!
thedrivermag thank you so much... i just filled it with 91 octane earlier. thanks again
I have a 2.0 diesel Limited. The fuel consumption was very high at the beginning, but somehow after 15 000km it gets to be moderate: around 7.0 l/100 km. In your test car you only have 10 000 km. Wait a few months and test it again.
Thanks for your feedback Istvan. I've heard that fuel efficiency increases the more you drive a vehicle. Where did you get a Renegade Diesel from? I don't believe that's available here in North America.
I have it here in Hungary. If you want to test it, you are welcome! :-)
Thanks for the offer, Istvan. I would've never imagined Jeep selling Diesel engines in Eastern Europe, but I guess fuel must be expensive there. We only have diesels here on the Grand Cherokee, unfortunately.
The mileage is horrible especially if you use the heater. I watch the range go from 120 to 70 because i turned the heater on. Crazy.
Does anyone know where to buy a gas cap lock for the Renegade please? Thanks
10.4 l per 100klm that a lot for a a 4 cilender and that just made me changed my mind about buying one 7.5 would ave bin ok but 10 that almost like double my car is using rigth now thas a no go for me i am gona wait untill they make something more gas eficient
Terrible mpgs for a small Jeep. I wish it had a diesel option, same with the Cherokee kl
