I could be wrong, but I will guess he fell in love with the movie The Red Balloon as a child. The depth of thought in his work is entertaining and terrifying to the dark of the imagination. God bless and speed the artist who brings comfort to the distrurbed and disturbs the comfortable. When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change! Thank you for sharing!!!!
Watching this now. Gotta be up for work at 5:30am though. Love how they havn't just covered Banksy on his own but so far they've covered the grass roots of the sub culture from the trains in New York to Hip Hop culture and its progression in the 80's to Bristols roots after hip hop culture crossed the Atlantic and also mentioned Acid House and Raves and has covered social problems and past protests. Only an hour into it so far of 2 hours but it's been really good and interesting. We'll recommended even if your more Team Robbo than Banksy as its covered alot more than just Banksy himself.

"The rise of outlaw art?" graffiti bombing is and always has been outlaw art since it became prominent... while street art like Banksy's is protected because rich people enjoy it
a piece of street art and a graffiti tag can be next to each other and the council will come and remove the graffiti and leave the street art, they also repair street art if someone graffiti's over it instead of just painting over it all... since when does the government support and protect outlaws?
