Landlords are just known to abuse their power
That was freaking fraud what this man was doing on this story.
Even worse, if tenants stand up for themselves, they'll wind up on the national tenant registry which makes them look horrible to other prospective landlords. Just a win win for the slumlords.
It has gotten so bad than in the complex that I live this A$$holes someone found a way to persuade the state to bill the Tenant for any case that goes to court you know for legal fees!
So get this you are behind on rent cool now you have to pay your legal fee as well as theirs that is freaking insane.
True! And landlords who abuse their power are really the worst kind of thieves. For poor people to steal from someone wealthier, it's not OK, but understandable. But for these (insert series of insults) landlords to steal from their poor tenants, thats like the (insert more foul words) greediest thing ever. I wish more tenants knew the law so they could stand up for themeselves. Maybe it should be taught in school?
Some landlords abuse their power. Some are good people just trying to make a living the best way they know how. Mine would never think of even trying a 7 day notice. He's one of the good ones. But if it's not paid in a week, you will get a 30 day notice to pay or vacate. Which to me is totally understandable. Rent is a first obligation. The landlord does have to make money. Else, why do it? Just out of the goodness of his heart? That would be nice, but sadly, the world just doesn't wag that way.
Nathan is such a clever man, using different methods to solve things.

@@OmniscientWarrior you just proved my point in the last part smh
I have to admit that I'm thankful that my university made me sit through a presentation about tenancy laws during my first year orientation. There was so much that I didn't know and they made sure that I was prepared. They also had a really good housing department that only listed rentals that employees had gone to check to ensure that they were safe, clean, and quiet. As someone who will have to rent until I'm 50 (the average price of houses in my area is 700k and any farther out there are no jobs) I'm so glad that I learned about my rights so early in my life.
Honestly Iâm happy my land lord is such a nice lady since she didnât have a reason to live in her house since she was moving but she still wanted to keep the land she was renting and were looking to rent a house that accepted animals (we have two cats and a beagle) even after we were two months late on rental fees she let us stay but she had to send an eviction notice to us by law and later called my dad basically say to pay when he could and that she didnât have a problem with him being late on fees
The reason we were late was because at the time my family owned a 2 and half year old coffee company and the mall we were in was run down and almost no one came in my dad was looking on expanding to the food court of another mall that was better than the other one so needless to say being a family of five with 3 pets were short on money.

My dad works for the IRS. I'm going to share this with him.
And just for funzies here is a story a friend told me about the IRS:
Buddy's dad owns (owned, buddy now owns it as his father passed away) a very successful car dealership. One trips to Las Vegas the dad would talk business for about 15 minutes so he could write it off as a business expense. So when he was getting audited one year the agent mentioned trips and the dad figured, "well I couldn't keep it up forever" until the agent said, "so you're claiming these trips to Detroit as business trips? Can you please justify that for me?"
Buddy's dad just looked at the guy like he was an idiot and replied, "you do know what business I'm in, right?"
"Yes, Sir. Please answer the question."
"You are aware the Detroit is the center of the American auto industry, right?"
"Sir, how is this justifying these trips as business?"
I think it took him a good 20 minutes to finally get it through this agent's head how owning a car dealership might mean business trips to Detroit, aka Motor City U.S.A..
As an Australian- Iâm disgusted & beyond appalled @ how foreign drs have been treated - I honestly hope that this has changed 4 the better now.

At first on my screen it said "Evil landlord gets killed"
I love when he laughs before reading a really good bit. Lol
That one with the landlord hit me *hard*, and I mean really hard. While I was struggling with the roughest phase of my college studies (I took the option of living at home and only needing to pay gas for travel instead of a large bill of rent for living On-campus), we had received a notice of eviction. The reasons stated were a singular noise complaint (We never made any noise, and our neighbors, except one, loved us really), high grass for a lawn (I cut it regularly myself, and even used a ruler after one of our neighbors told us about the landlord being insanely strict on inches), and rotting under the trailer we lived in (It was like that before we moved in, and we had hard evidence and photos). She was evicting us, and gave us a week's notice, but "had" to grant us another three days when her "people" had to remove the porch and change it entirely (They left us having to jump a full three feet out the backdoor every time we had to go outside because of this, and they had also attempted to steal my grandfather's memorial in our garden, to which I had taken it and hid it where none but myself could find it and it is safe with us still to this day).
Out of nowhere, after a very stressful day of classes, our landlord came over and was screaming at my mom (Yes I was living with my mom, but also my brother, because mom and I worked and it also worked out in the long run with expenses) that we could not be home since she had to show the property to the possible tenants. She ended up leaving when mom threatened to call the cops, and that the landlord was disturbing the neighbors (The landlord had to keep up "appearances"). The next morning my favorite instructor for my C++ classes (A rather difficult programming class honestly) had noticed my frustration, and how I was struggling with a line of code that I had no trouble with before. I was pretty much at the end of my rope, and my chest had some pains early in the class that I had not told my instructor about until lunch's break when they approached me and had me get out of the room for some air (It was his way of saying "You are not okay, and I can see that even if you do not tell me"). We talked a bit, and I explained my situation, and he even asked me if I knew State laws. Funny enough, I did, and still do. Out of curiosity I researched them for a project in high-school, and they had not changed. You were to be given thirty days with an eviction, no exceptions. But when I told him about how aggressive my landlord was, he began giving me extra time to get assignments done, and to not be worried about classes.
That same day... While me and mom were home alone (Brother was visiting our niece to help her with some family issues that he also had dealt with before), we were cleaning the place and packing the last of our stuff for the move. Our landlord, without even knocking or asking, walked into our home (It was still our home until we were no longer there, or when the thirty days were up), and began the usual trouble. Only this time it escalated, badly. I was so stressed from everything she had done before, and from my own worries with classes and my grades in college, that everything built up until there was nothing. When I say nothing, I mean I do not remember how I got outside into our backyard, and was casually chatting with a black widow spider I had found on a bush. I remember being in the trailer, then suddenly I was outside sweating to death, my chest felt tight, I was barely able to hear anything. I only remember my next-door neighbor, who had just gotten home from his work on the nearby farm (He may be an elderly man, but he is excellent with raising chickens and horses), running over to me trying to get a coherent word out of me. I could see him in tunnel-vision, but could not really hear much he said. He just sat there with me for a bit, listening to me talk to this deadly spider, and tried joining the conversation to keep me company, and an eye on me. I was twenty-three when this all happened, but in the circumstances he had to treat me a little like a child due to my state at the time, and I have no issues with that. I remember slowly beginning to hear again, somebody panicking and shouting, and then everything began to clear back to normal rapidly when I heard him shouting my mom's name. It turned out I had disappeared from the trailer for five hours, so I was sitting in the backyard for five hours, mindlessly chatting to a widow spider.
He told her everything, and mom broke down on her knees hoping I was ok. When I told her I felt cold, and hot, and my chest was unbearably tight, he offered to have me sit with him and his wife for a bit while mom chased off the landlord. I wound up staying the night with our neighbor, after we visited the doctor first, and it turned out I had a severe panic-attack. A panic-attack so bad that I almost had gone into a state of shock. Doctor explained to me that I had blacked-out mentally, but had physically moved in order to get away from the "danger" that I was perceiving. My safety was to be outside in the backyard, because I loved our backyard since I always did my college project work out there to think clearly. We moved the next day, no exceptions, because my health took a serious turn for the worst where I could not physically come close to our front door, or the interior, without my vision starting to go dark around the edges. Our neighbors apparently moved soon after, and from what I heard the landlord had been forced to demolish the trailer for failure to repair the damages, and had lost every last tenant. Due to the trailers all being very old, she could not get any new tenants, and by the time I graduated college she was bankrupt and in serious debt. I still visit the old neighbor and his wife every Thanksgiving since I consider it as him saving my life that day. He now lives much more closer to the farm he worked at, and is my neighbor again, plus he got me my job there (I run their website, their database, and when I am free I help with the horses and chickens). To this very day one thing has remained, I have an acute fear of entering our home from the front, I can only enter through the backdoor now, but no neighbor questions it since word got around about us (We all have a massive get-together for Thanksgiving since a lot of the neighbors are elderly with no children, and it is better to eat with someone than alone in our little community).
I so badly needed that Yugo Puppy Bloopers at the end.

As the thumbnails get more and more bizzare, I wonder what he types in the search box?
Wait, I'm NOT subscribed? Let's change that. Thanks to CZcams for still recommending it to me even though I never subbed. Months pass and you forget stuff, am I right??

"Sheldon, why are you arguing with the DMV?!"
"How else are they going to learn?"
Reminds me of Nathan.
The first story in this video is why I subscribed to you today. I laughed SO hard because of that Nathan guy. If I could meet him in real life I would shake his hand and thank him for being himself.
