I've asused the situation, and this video displays a refreshing rate of accuracy.
Haha. I like it
It's not everyday that you can get such precise definitions
I am glad you are here to monitor the situation
I've always used Asus products, they have never let me down, and I am due to upgrade my monitors soon so they will be my first port of call. Keep up the good work grant, and have a great weekend 🙂
I know this is a video about monitors, but I had no idea about the “New Main Window” feature until I saw you had multiple windows of Blender open.
This is honestly the video I needed!
Oh dear... I needed this video last week. Just received the 2 monitors I ordered. 😂 Got the MSI MPG321URX. Hopefully I did pretty well choosing. Thanks for the tips!
Great video, Grant. Not too many of these on CZcams, so thanks very much (:
I second the calibrator. The one I used I cannot mention (I guess YT filter) but they have improved my photography printing results. What I see on screen is almost exactly what comes out of the professional-level printer at the college, which is also where I checked out the calibrator. My Calibration lasted at least 2 years, haven't printed since but it still appears to be in range.
The downside is you have to set it when at a certain brightness level.
yep if u don't print all this numbers mambo jumbo is just for kicking up price IMHO, and if u print u'll need a profiling device anyway to color manage. But it anyway didn't show true printed colors anyway bc differences between RGB and CMYK colors ( i think now are displays close to reproduce CMYK gamut but prices are probably out of range for common sausage eater ). For me, Iiyama was always best quality for price , I use spyderDC for calibration .
Glad to see you hyping the Pro art monitors. I was at my friend's recently and he asked, "Hey do you need any monitors?" and I was like "Yeah sure, man, why not?" and then he brought out 2 open-box-but-unused 24" Asus Pro Art monitors. As soon as I saw all the features listed on the boxes I was like, "Whoa, I think these will be perfect for all the art stuff I do," and reviews online seemed to back that up too. Talk about getting lucky!
Hello Grant, I use a GigaByte AORUS FI32U and I am very happy with it. Nice IPS Panel and great colors... Only QHD, but thats ok for me...
Fab video Grant! I will note that those PA329CRVs are 60hz only, although that does add up to 120hz overall as you have 2 😅
Interesting, I thought they were 120. Well it seems 60 is all good for me then as I obviously can't tell the difference 😀
Can I give more than one like to this video?
watching form nepal proud to be your student
I'm currently using a Gaomon pen display and an Asus ProArt 27" 2k combination. The Gaomon PD-2200 is the only Cintiq alternative I've seen that shares a pen model with a graphic tablet (the S620), which means I can work on both screens without dropping the pen or changing to the mouse.
Great information and nice flex. 😁😁
Just get a monitor which supply monitor drivers too. And you will be fine. Also if you are beginner I don't think you will have that money to buy 4k or qhd . Go with 1080p with anti glare screen or 1366x768 with anti glare. And most important only consider monitor which supply monitor driver. Sitting on generic pnp drivers for monitor is not a good deal.
Recently got a 24" Proart pa248q for $140 from ebay. It's an older model, very heavy, but beautiful colors once calibrated using windows color calibration wizard.
I did had some difficulty trying to match my 15.6" xp-pen drawing tablet. I later realized that the gambit from my tablet is darker than the Proart, something to keep in mind is that brands will sometimes had different color calibration.
Anyway, got it close enough for my taste.
I have the XP-Pen 13.3 pro and have always struggled with my images appearing too yellow on other screens and unfortunately I’m on a MacBook which doesn’t allow for individual color manipulation of additional displays (lets me pick color profile though)….unless I missed something in the last few yrs of trying to figure it out. I’m in the process of buying a Wacom cintiq pro and new computer. Do you recommend the Mac desktops for digital artists?
for digital artists yes but not for 3d artists. So if you are 2d they are excellent
hello man i hope you doing well ❤
is there a way to bake color attribute from high poly sculpture to low poly mesh (retopolagy) .
i know i asked you that before and your answer was baking . and i tried to bake the color attribute but it didnt work for me . i dont know maybe its my lack of knowledge in baking ☹ . so i hope you make a tutorial that helps a brother out❤
It should be possible, yes. See my baking playlist
So, what is a good quality, affordable monitor drawing tablet? Could you do a video on that?!
I have. The xp pen is my favourite brand for affordability. Go for artist Pro 2nd gen versions
@@grabbitt Thanks, I appreciate your quick response!
Sorry, what is the thing on the left side of the drawing tablet?
The xecelab comes with a detachable quick keys
I have a doubt can i go with 4k 27" monitor or 4k with 32" ?
Either
@@grabbitt Thanks. Is a 27" 2K display suitable for Blender use?
@@VenkatVenkat-uj7hw yes
Hey man can you suggest me a laptop for animation Sortfilm please reply
Asus ProArt are decent
@@grabbitt can you suggest me a laptop that's pretty much good with all sort of animation needs
Eizo cg 2730 🖥️
Experienced any "burn in" on the pro art monitors?
No
Good to hear.
Aren't your two ASUS IPS panels? You said OLED, but i don't think so..
yes they are IPS sorry for any confusion
@@grabbitt no problem and thanks for answering! :) the whole panel and monitor stuff is already confusing in general, so i just thought making it a bit clearer.
2K is NOT QHD, damn. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2K_resolution
HD has a res of 720, QHD has twice the resolution in both directions, or 4x the total number of pixels, 4x = quad. You might be assuming HD is 1920x1080, but thats FullHD.
