I actually didn’t get the fact that Edward WAS #38 at first. I actually thought he was only pretending to be #38 to set Margaret free.

I think a good ending would be Edward hosting a memorial service when his drives casts a handful of flowers into the wind.

The plot twist that Edward was #38 shocked me!

I found this story more sad and heart touching than scary but i really like it (i almost cried when Edward/38 and Margaret finally meet again).

I wish I had the writing skills to write ghost stories like this.

The only time Edward acting out of character has been good because it fits with his kind nature

This is way scarier than The Vicarstown Bridge Disaster! Excellent work Tardis keep up the good work :)

Wow! What an emotional ride. Stories like this really bring home the fact that engines like humans have hearts and souls too. Not only that, but it really brings home how old Edward and his fellow engines are. If I'm not mistaken, he's literally over 100 years old. Well, when you have a character that old, who's seen some awful stuff in his lifetime, you can understand how sad stuff like this is.

Whether Domestic Violence is right or wrong, I don't talk too much about such a subject.

You know, the first time I heard the way Edward told the story, I thought the way he told it was a little weird. But this time I realized that's because that's the way an engine would see something like this. Spot on.

So,Edward turns out to be 38.

  • @houseofthesupermen377

This was such a heartbreaking story. You handled it brilliantly with your narration. This story also shows how much of a traumatized engine Edward may or may not be. I'm sure he's seen things he can never unsee and lost very close friends over his long lifespan. But he always tries to keep a smile on his face and be there for younger engines, which could make his relationship with Thomas so much richer. This is kinda AU/headcanon stuff but I'm sure you get the point. Keep up the good work!

Edward must have some serious trauma from stuff like this, people always depict him as "the kind and forgiving soul" or in this case, he took on the role of #38 and set Margret free from her endless suffering.

"Whatever that is, that doesn't sound good." Said Number 38's Driver.

All I can say about domestic violence is this: It's no laughing matter. And it's not just women who experience domestic abuse. Men can also be abused as well. There also be abuse in LGBT couples.
