i am planning the exact reverse trip from what you did four years ago! man, i can't tell you how much this has given me hope and so much more inspiration to actually do it. thank you so much for doing the v-log you did, back 4 years ago!. truly amazing what you achieved. i'll be watching the rest of your journey for sure.
also, may your mom rest in peace and i hope you are healing and slowly finding back to yourself. i know just too well how you feel. it'll take time no matter what, she is the reason who you are and you will keep her in you heart (i'm sure you will). thanks again and keep pushing.
just the right bike for Africa
Totally, a decision I was very happy to have made
You should open up a tour company and lead groups of people on these adventures, amazing videos. Stay safe.
Thanks Brad, good idea!
Try to imagine cat-herding a gaggle of bitchy middle-aged street bike riders along that path. That would take that infectious grin off your face.
"Please find me some Ketchup or I can't eat this."
"My tent has a bug in it. Do something."
"I can't pee with anybody listening."
"You call THIS a toilet?"
"You said we would have hotels. I don't see a single Hilton here."
:O
@@jimshaw899 Oh, so true.
@@jimshaw899 bloody true words dude
Forget the "Hairy bikers". This lad is the Globe-trotting Biker. LOVE your videos. Thanx
Man I would love to do a tour like this. Keep the videos coming!
You should set up a business with your mates doing guided tours like this. I would sign up like a bloody shot but I am not sure if I have the bottle to do it solo. So want to do the Silk Road too. What an amazing experience it must be. Tourism could be such a benefit for the populations that are on the routes. 👍
Nice one Harvey, glad to see you are still pushing your way South, looking forward to seeing the next episode 👍😀
You honestly deserve so many more subscribers, your content is amazing and always keeps me entertained haha
Great to see you've been able to add to your excellent history of the tour ! Glad you are safe in SA. (Rob from Tetbury)
Just loving the series mate, keep them coming! Stay safe
Loving this series. You should be really proud of yourself for accomplishing what you have on this trip. Your vids of you are your mate with your "Crack on with it" attitude through Europe made me smile but this is another level. Youthful exuberance wins the day. That photo at the end is quality too. Doesn't matter where you are in the world, kids love to strike a pose for the camera!
Could watch this all day.
Really enjoying this. You are the real deal - unlike Ewen and Charlie with their back-up teams. Keep safe.
Loving it Harvey, that crf is the best bike by fare mate, Congo next 😬 mad or what !!!!
Congo was a big challenge :)
Epic mate nice one harv .
Good stuff brother
Why you have only one right side back looking mirror ... ?
I went out and bought a 2017 CRF 250L Rally because of these videos. You've been at this Africa thing a long time now Bro. Hope you're holding up OK. Wouldn't mind see more of Wales on your MT07,
Thanks Don, I was hard pressed between the CRF250L Rally and the standard
I really enjoy that little fairing on the Rally. I live in the South West US and ride a lot of hot desert roads. My rides are usually between 70 and 180 miles and that little bit of protection is nice. I also put a Puig faring on my 2016 FZ07. Took one ride on it without the fairing and ordered the Puig that same day.
Great vlog keep safe👍
Where did you get the information for your road by road itinerary? Did you research areas to avoid? Awesome journey!
Not really, I checked up on the UK home office travel advice but typically went with my heart, If an area is too dangerous to travel the police will simply not allow you to travel
Thanks! And how did you come up with your intermediate stops and turn by turn route? What were your main resources? e.g. lonely planet guide, someone gave you their an itinerary they used, etc
Do u work at powerbiking in Wycombe.
Cool super video
That Crf250L is perfect for the trip!
And on some pages they say its under powered. lol
for serious enduro riding it is underpowered.
Underpowered but understressed importantly, giving it brilliant reliability which is the most important trait for this application
Imagine trying this on a 125... Now that would be a challenge 😁.
How much money did it cost to do all of Africa
Am just curious.....how much did it cost you....?
I’d love to do this but ....... anyway I see why you sold the MT...
Bernie in sydney
Nice update buddy... how many miles have you put on the honda? Keep bearded!

What about wild animals and mosquitoes and shit? 1:36

it is under powered and heavy for what it is but it's super reliable which is the main thing you want on this kind of trip.
