From my own lil analysis of this sitch, it seems a bit manipulative because, if ure not aware, a while back he was caught texting his ex when he shouldnt have been. Thus, security and trust in your relationship is important in order to pursue and/ or continue a relationship whose partner’s job requires them to act romantic towards their co-worker.

This opportunity for Halle created a moment for another discussion of representation and diversity, especially for Black children to see themselves and know they deserve to be in those spaces as well. This moment is still about her.
This song, in my opinion, is attempting publicly shame Halle to counteract DDG insecurities while also attempts to guilt trip her about looking forward to any future opportunities in movies that may have elements of romance in it if she decides to maintain this relationship with her boyfriend.
These celebrities mentioned star power will grow and shine brighter more with time, at different speeds, different rates. Support her dreams fully like she supports your music or step aside. Talk about this in private.

Coming from an actress, I’m not nearly as big as Halle & don’t want to be. But when I started filming bigger movies & working on sets with celebrities my boyfriend started losing it! The insecurities started going wild. Men I was just friends with started asking me all type of ridiculous questions about hooking up with people on set & the “things I do” to get roles. Like cmon dude? Are you serious?… I just had to be an industry hoe at that point for it to make sense to anyone. Which is & always has been so far from who I am.
