- The Orokin Empire has long since vanished, along with any detailed traces of their history. Only minute fragments of lore or the faded memories of those who survived the collapse catalogue the Empire's rich history. Fitting that their own hubris should all but completely efface their legacy from the annals of time.

I would kill for an eventual flashback quest that takes place during the fall of the empire. Could start up by unlocking your memories in the reservoir or something.

I have a theory about why all of the Orokin we see have Elongated Right arms. As some of the more academic of you may know a Lot of ancient cultures associated the Direction of Right with Heaven, Virtue, and Divinity the Righteous for example has Right in it and the inverse is true for the Left direction the Left hand path and Sinister being derived from Sinistras the Latin word for left. So the Orokin's right arms could be a visual sign to show people that they are either divine beings or are more in tune with their Divine Side.
The arm is called a claw it's a type of Orokin weapon

I started to play like 2 years ago, and I've been in and out of it but for some reason I always return, I used to think that has a poor story back then but its getting better and better. Im really intrigued by the Orokin.
I mean, the technocyte virus is pretty much the Flood from Halo...

in the second dream quest a quote from sentient Hunhow struck me: he referred to Alad V as "orokin named Alad V"
this proves that some orokin are still alive (although we all killed Alad like a million times)
He probably just doesn't know of any other humanoids other than Orokin, although you could be right.

With the information we learned from The War Within, how the Orokin achieve immortality is pretty awful and nightmarish.
SPOILERS BELOW
The Orokin would basically steal or breed children for the purpose of transferring their mind into the child's body, thus "reincarnating." From the way our Tenno reacted, it seems as though the victim is basically driven insane by despair as their consciousness is erased, and the Orokin takes up residence in the young, healthy body.

Deadass Timbs those are not orokin. Those are normal grineer, corpus, and infested that have become corrupted by the orokin tower's energy and now eternally serve the tower by defending it against and Invaders. Which is why they are always immediately hostile towards you
Also hunhow calls Alad an orokin in the second dream quest, which is backed up by other parts of his dialogue, such as "Lotus you erased history" when the moon shows up, indicating that he knew about or even experienced the final demise of the Orokin. So it's pretty safe to assume that we know at least 1 Orokin. Alad. and his name is a hint to his status too. I thought of this before. Alad V, sounds like the title of a European monarch more than a name. As in Alad the fifth. Not only is he Orokin imo, but he could be someone of very high status. Even one of the emperors.

No, they only confirmed that NOW it's read as Vee. It could very well be that the origins of his name is Alad the 5th.
Hunhow called Alad V as an Orokin, because Hunhow only knows Orokin during his time in Old War and before he was "defeated". Since he only woke up recently, all the histories about slave clones ganging up becoming the Grineer Empire and fellow Archimedians forming Corpus guild is unknown to him; hence he still thought that human looking Alad V is an Orokin. Hunhow got a lot to catch up.
To add to that, Hunhow doesn't seem to recognise that Alad has succumbed to the Technocyte. The Lotus noted in Patient Zero and other Eris missions that Technocyte has almost completely taken over Alad's mind.
Here's a little bit of a theory: Alad V wasn't helping the Tenno, it was Technocyte. The Technocyte remember that the Sentients were their enemies during the Old War and see Hunhow's return as a threat to their existence. For this reason they decided to help the Tenno and the Lotus fight Hunhow and Shadow Stalker.
+Han Solo wow...your theory on T-cyte helping us to defeat Sentients made my mind blown away...it's hardly possible, but damn it will be quite a twist in lore if it becomes true.

Well about Orokin immortality, i think that they were re-colning themselvs, i mean, there are many sources of information indicating that Orokin were useing cloning thechnology really often, so maybe they were also useing it on themselvs, but this time they were perfecting themselvs to become so unaturally beutifull, that would rwally make a lot of sense.
I love this series because it puts together al the lore and making it easier to understand. In game the lore is spread, some in quests, some in the Sanctuary, some in particular codex entries, and recently, some in the cephalon fragments. Every time new lore is introduced we have to look trough all the old lore, searching all the dioluges from quest you finished a long time ago, to piece together theories, to separate what is confirmed as true from what it isn't. Some lore, like the cephalon fragments send you back to the very beginning, having you reflecting about everything that Ordis ever said and all the interactions you had with other cephalons. Could some cephalons be actual orokin? Because, if an orokin ever happened to betray the empire, to need to be punished, they might have been turned into cephalons. Having their consciousness ripped away from their bodies and memories erased to be turned into some sort of being with a specific task that they did for the orokin seems like a good punishment.
Anyway, I really apreciate the work you put into these lore videos and i hope to see many more in the future.
i love these videos too, but part of what makes lore so fun is that you feel you discover it yourself and make your own revelation

With Octavia's Anthem beng released., this may not be entirely true. In the comic, Suda was someone who kept records and all that. She was turned into a Cephalon because she forgot more and more as time went on.

The poster of the video has done enough work. being lazy and asking him to do more is just wrong. my Spanish is almost non existent. i only know a few words i learned from my Latino friends.
That said i do not go to Latino speaking videos and ask them to put in subs either. They've done enough work editing recording and testing. learning the language fully or finding a video i can understand rest solely on my shoulders. it's not someone else's responsibility.

What is going to be crazy is when the dormant Orokin Empire returns after the new war. After our side and the Sentient threats side is at its weakest point they will return. They have been sitting pulling the strings from the shadows. As soon as we take the fight from the Origin system to the Tau the Orokin will unveil itself.

Its worth mentioning that the word "origin system" is used often, this would suggest that while the orokin are dead in sol they may have colonized either tau ceti, alpha centauri, epsilon eridani or the sirius cluster, they definitely had the technology to do so as shown with the zariman ten zero's journey to tau ceti, so its not unlikely that they've colonized nearby star systems within our stellar neighborhood.
They tried colonizing Tau with the Sentients being used as terraforming drones but that MAJORLY backfired.

"Are any of the Orokin still alive?" Well. We now know Ballas is. Though what's bugging me now is if he looks the way he does due to void or some other manner of corruption, or if how he looks is that Orokin "beauty" that was spoken of so much.
He is probably long overdue for a Continuity.
The younger Grineer queen is also still alive, and while her body is Grineer, she is of Orokin origin along with her now-dead elder sister.
It's sentient tech, there a mission where Umbra and our Operator stab Ballas but Natah saves him and he becomes a slave for the sentients

I'd like to think the Orokins were using transference as well to give themselves perfect appearance and cheat death since Ordis' back story mentioned that the Orokins didn't even mind being killed. Perhaps they're still alive somewhere hidden in the system or the void much like the Tenno, but since there isn't any evidence, we can only speculate

Remember in the Second Dream quest, Hunhow directly addresses Alad V at one point, threatening to silence him and also referring to him as an Orokin. It's possible he is at least of Orokin ancestry? Or maybe Hunhow is just old and blind.
From what I understand in the game I seems like we the Tenno are somewhat tasked with stopping the repercussions of the Orokins actions. In other words, cleaning up their messes, hence the grineer and infested.

The Tenno are technically the ones that caused the empire to collapse. The sentients were being forced to retreat due to the warframes and tenno changing the tide of the war, but after a big ceremony with the orokin leadership, the tenno were secretly planning revenge for margulis and massacred most of the leaders. With no leadership the empire fell into chaos

The orokin had their flaws but they are still much better than the other factions other than Tenno. I mean the whole transference thing, pollution, and creation of sentients were screw ups and the caste system could use some work but At least they didn’t wipe out colonies, profit off war, infect and destroy sentience in organics, or have an agenda to systematically wipe out non sentients. They had extreme rly advanced tech, the standard of living was much better than it is now in the Origin system and they terraformed planets. The orokin are by far the best non Tenno faction and if they were to come back, which I think they will, i believe our Tenno and many other characters would would support them, if it’s down to choice I would also support them.
Okay so I guess I need to go scan a lot more shit if i'm gonna get into the lore god damn. Also, Ordin Karis has a model? He looked like he had a Boltace on his back. At least, one part of one. I'd be interested in seeing him appear in game.
His model is Cressa Tel(steel meridian syndicate leader) With a syandana on his front and holding a boltace, so I don't think we'll ever actually see his old form.
I am very certain that Teshin is an orokin, it is stated (I don't remember where) that he has a vast knowledge of the orokin even before the colapse and is or is suggested that he has live for an unhumanily amount of time, his abilities and personality suggest he might be a dax soldier, since he's so bound by honor. And in the 2d teaser for The War Within the Tenno is looking at a red pool and says it doens't look grineer and who appears, Teshin. And the most obvious tool his whole attire is of orokin aesthetic sure its bronze not gold which would mean he is of a lower status or maybe he uses this as a show of shame for failing the orokin, as he says.

There is still Tau System, the System that the Orokin were planing on terraforming before the rebellion of the Sentient. Seems to suggest by the Sentient that the Orokin Empire was advance enough to make interstellar travels to distant planets, making them more advance than just manipulating void energy.
Even though Tau is only mentioned briefly in Warframe, Tau played a vital role in being the Catalyst for the creation of both Tenno and Sentient alike, the two factions that ultimately ended the Orokin Empire. Without Tau, the Zariman 10-0 never existed and thus, Tenno never existed. Tau was the primed target for Sentient terraforming and without Tau, the existence of Sentients would never be possible.
Technically, the Tenno existed, it's just the warframes weren't created yet.
