In this video I show my process for winterizing my motorcycles for long term storage during the winter. First I fill up the gas tank with fuel at least 95% full, this prevents rust buildup in the tank. Then I add 1.5oz of stabil fuel stabilizer since the Vulcan 650 has a 3.7 gallon capacity in the fuel tank. The stabil bottle has all the instructions for adding to your fuel, basically 1oz is good for 2.5 gallons of fuel, so do the math based on your fuel capacity.
Then I check the tire pressure using my digital tire pressure gauge. For the Vulcan 650 the recommended tire pressure is 32 PSI in the front and 36 PSI in the rear. It is important to fill your tires so they don't develop flat spots while sitting in your garage for months. Also it is a good idea to rotate your tires every 1 or 2 months so they are not sitting on the same spot the entire time.
Next I clean and lubricate the chain using PJ1 Blue Label chain cleaner and lubrication and the Grunge Brush. Finally, I remove the battery and attach it to a battery tender that will charge the battery and keep it trickle charging so it doesn't die over the winter. I didn't change it yet..waiting on the tread to wear down some more and then I will get new bigger tire

@@Jett21887 yes it's stock. Just looks bigger because of the taillight being much smaller and low profile compared to stock taillight. So you see more of the tire!
