    As soon as you held up the bowl I thought that looks like a fun popcorn bowl for the family. It also looks like a good size of bowl to hold chips, or snacks when you have a party, or company comes over. Also, a large salad, again if you are entertaining in the future.

    You can donate ALL the red bowls, there’s plenty of other things you can use for candy at Halloween that are useful the rest of the year too, like colanders, mixing bowls, decor bowls, baskets, etc.

      I agree! I like to ask “can I do without this? What could I use instead of this?” rather than finding uses for things. It’s also really easy and cheap to replace if you decide later you “need” it.

    Just in the last few weeks watching your channel (which I’m literally obsessed with) I’ve taken so many trips to goodwill, sold items, and put free items by the road. I am feeling so good about having less. Thank you for you videos I truly enjoy them daily!!!

    You could use the red bowl as a punch bowl, mixing bowl, popcorn bowl, salad bowl. I have also used a bowl like that to wash my face masks in the with come soap. Someone recommended not washing your face masks in the laundry because you put these on your mouth/face and you wash other dirty items in the wash machine (undies/socks). So I use hot water and a pinch of tide powder and let them soak in the bowl and then rinse and dry.

    My mother in law uses a bowl like yours as a cover turned upside down over a plate. Its perfect if you bake a cake and then put it on a plate and cover it, especially if you don't want to use up space for storing a glass cake holder:)

    I went over to my friends new apartment the other day. I was so minimalistic I felt I could really breath in there. I thought I had decluttered my home, but as it turns out I need to have another go at it for it to be tidy and clean the way I want it to be! Thank you for the inspiration! 😊

    Growing up, I used to watch kids get new binders, bookbags, pencil holders, everything new for each new school year. We couldn't afford that, and now I still don't understand why all the waste. I used the same bag and binder for years.

    I know I am a bit late to the party, so I don't know if you will see this, but I use those big bowls to wash hand-wash only items. I don't have many of those types of clothing items, and I don't have a "laundry sink" so they are great for putting in my kitchen sink (it is huge) to wash those items.

    To all the people mentioning keeping puke bowls under a child's bed... Do you not have a waste basket in each bedroom? Less clutter because the waste basket will be used all the time. It also cuts down on finding kid's trash everywhere else...

    RED BOWL... under the bed for a barf bowl if someone is not feeling well. Will safe a lot of missed trips to the toilet. Wish I had bought of it His when mine were younger, would have saved a lot of dirty sheets and carpet. We always take one on vacation just for that, and make it easy to get to in the van.

    In regards to the big bowl you are keeping for Halloween candy....you are going to have it take up space in your home to use ONCE per year? you have nothing else you could empty for ONE day like a basket or some other pot or bowl to hand out candy with....I'd personally punt the bowl for a ONCE per year use!
    Baking liners and bags should all be kept together in one cohesive space whether it be a drawer near food prep or in the panty but not with everything in the junk drawer.

      @Heather O'Toole I love the idea of decorating a box! That could be really fun. There’s almost always something you could use instead of keeping a single-use item, but it’s easy for people to justify (other people) keeping things.

    • @lisamichaelalpert6228
      @lisamichaelalpert6228 Před 3 lety

      @Heather O'Toole it was more the debating to keep it and she came up with a reason that to me just for a one day use seemed to not justify it to me..I like the decorated box idea even the puke bowls another mentioned --- I am TRYING to declutter....two carloads of STUFF donated already!!

    • @olivemaycards
      @olivemaycards Před 3 lety

      Some people decorate for all of those, yes, and maybe more (New Years, Mothers/Father Day, etc) but many people only decorate for a few. It’s easy to buy decorations at the dollar store, grocery store, hardware store, home good stores, etc and people think they are cute. Those things are often really cheap here - maybe only $1 each. So much junk.

    • @FancyThatwithCandice
