The comment that S5 and S6 are the most memorable grand finals is very accurate. Watching that 0 second goal even if they lost is the most iconic goal in all of rocket league in part *because* it was against Dig, and C9 winning S6 is forever one of my favorite games I've seen in person, especially because basically all NA went to lower bracket on day one. That lower bracket run to beat Dig twice in the finals is something I will never forget, ever
It was memorable cause the big power bracket run with memorable plays from c9. C9 is a big org aswell and getting/seeing someone win a bracket reset that fashion is insanely difficult. Literally had the most difficult run possible with the most dominant teams in the world waiting for u

I went to Season 7 Worlds and while it wasn’t a great area being Newark New Jersey. The crowd was absolutely amazing to be in it’s still a lot of pros favorite RLCS for the engagement with the fans. I would have loved to go to Season 6 though
ngl, haven't watched much rocket league since RLCS X, so I'm basically in awe at the new rosters, and teams that are at the top

I wish they had talked about how NA isnt really NA anymore i woukd love to hear their opinions on that. I honestly think NA is fine talentwise i mean the last 2 regionals have been close but NA is very chaotic right now too many teams with chances to win i think after this season some teams have to really restructure their rosters so that they stand out instead of every team blending in

The Zen hype that started picking up in March got me back into the game. I haven’t been following RLCS much since covid, but I got excited to see what Vitality could do. I’m NA, and I’ve always been more engaged in NA, but every weekend these past few months I’ve been way more excited to watch the EU tournaments.

38:00 In a lot of other competitive games NA pros tend to scrim a lot more, as they should. In almost all games that have a master/challenger rank theres a large difference in skill between NA and EU (for pro scene it varies per game). EU high level ranked is just always more competitive. So NA pros only option is to play a lot of scrims against eachother to get better, but the problem is you get stuck in a strategy bubble due to playing a limited amount of people.

NA has no idea what "forcing the play" means. EU is not ball chasing. They are just rotating and forcing the play for their teammates. I think it's because it's a big concept in soccer and not in stuff like Baseball or NA Football...
Ball chasers result in double commits and even triple commits. They exist everywhere outside of the pro scene and live in the ranked lobbies.
100% agree, NA lacks the understanding of the game EU have, the cohesiveness of teams isn’t even comparable and why NA is struggling heavily
I agree for the most part; however, disagree for a few teams. SSG, Complexity, and G2 are 3 teams in NA that I've seen "force the play" in their playstyle. I think their are just some other aspects of NA 3s that make them look as bad as they do (except complexity).

yeah as much as those teams seem so good on paper theyre just not having the results. that refresh is why teams like ssg are at the top despite not having huge names. with the exception of geng, i dont think they need a change yet, i tihnk all those players would benefit from a roster swap. g2 jstn would be niiiice

man rocket league esports feels like it's at one of its greatest moments at the moment. NA just needs to improve for the skill to be at an all time highest. Even being from NA, I love that EU is a superpower and I'm a fan of many EU teams. I don't think it's a bad thing for NA since after worlds there will be lots of drama and roster swaps to make the off-season more interesting

the reason why na is in the dust is because they don't have to play 12 year old french and middle eastern mechy demons in ranked all day
weakest take in the world. Pro players are so far ahead of the curve that playing ranked basically hurts their skill more than it helps cause it enforces bad behavior like adapting to bad teammates or expecting a miss from an opponent. There is a reason why you don't see that many pros in top 100 ranked. If they actually grinded ranked the leaderboard would be full of pros which is definitely not the case.

NRG peaked many seasons ago. Irrelevant since 2021.
This is a LONG overdue change.
In NA, it seems way more fans get obsessed over rosters than they do about results.
For such a long time, Vitality failed to live up to its previous record, but the RL fanbase kept loving a losing team composition.
I'm glad to see NRG choosing fact over emotions, and realize their roster was ultimately harming NA RL morale.
I think EU will always be the stronger region due to their love of football/soccer that just doesn't exist in NA.
As a former professional Forza competitive gamer, I always felt little support from NA, due to the real life sport of road racing being infinitely more popularity in Europe than in the US, where drag racing, drifting, and oval racing are much more supported than road racing.

This LAN is missing Firstkiller, Jstn, Beastmode, Daniel, Atomic, Jknaps, GarrettG, 2piece, Dreaz, Sypical, etc. You gonna tell me that these players, if they swallowed their pride or didn't worry abot pay, that they couldn't put up a fight against EU? You seriously think it's a TALENT gap?

@@cousinpatsey2471 no player on the planet loses their team more games than comm. he's slow. can't pass, can't shoot, can't defend, is loud and a team player when we're winning, but as soon as we're losing, he goes quiet, has no comms, with 2 young stars on your team, you have to bring the veteran experience, he needs to keep them calm, too late now i assume he'll be gone in a month or 2

They obviously try to win everything they can; it's not like once they make their expectation they just stop trying.
But it's not a bad mentality, or stupid, to have realistic expectations. "I think I can do 10 push ups" and doing 15, vs "I want to do 50 push ups" and doing 15. The first one is a far better mindset, and leads to much better results long term.
