Rocket League fans are also the worst I have ever seen on twitch. Instead of cheering and being happy for your team, like in other real-life sports, Rocket League fans are just insulting the opposite team. When a goal happens, they start to shittalk the opponent instead of cheering for their own team. It's just pathetic and always the same boring sht since years, EU > NA, NA > EU, NA Trash, EU Washed blablabla. I mostly turn chat off; it adds nothing of value to the viewing experiance anyways.

Booing a specific player is very different from booing a team too

Regarding booing: the main problem is you have 20 and 30-somethings as spectators and 15 year olds as the players. Either enforce very strict rules about booing or raise the age limit to 18 for players.

The booing of Faze was partly due to Firstkiller and his drama but mostly because they eliminated Oxygen with the only two Dutch players in Rotterdam, of course the home crowd was disappointed

The worst booing incident I can remember is when Faze beat Oxygen at the 2022-2023 Fall Major. Poor Firstkiller took the mic who clearly was not built for booing and the European crowd went to town anyway. Booing can be fun if applied to the right characters in the scene, but the crowd majorly messed up that time in my opinion.

I went to the London 3.0 and Boston last year. Jonny said once that eu people just cheer for rocket league and not individual teams. But from my experience the fans at Boston barely booed and didn’t boo any last standing eu team. Mean while in London G2 was booed sooo much. I honestly didn’t expect that tbh just because g2 has been in the scene for years and they are a EU org. But I just don’t want to hear Johnny cap about that. I was expecting a lot more people to cheer for G2 after the only eu team got eliminated. Made the win feel better though because G2 took the spot as the best team in the world, in the home of rocket league… London!!

Every show like Halo that is based on a game where the people that produce it don't care about the games it is based on and just do whatever they feel like deserves to be cancelled. It is not that hard, just look at some gameplay, read a summary of the main stories and characters and stay somewhat close to the material and vibes. That's all we want.

1-) When you let people in your chat spam messages on how France should be nuked or on why should KC fans off themselves, you have no right to complain about KC fans being mad. 2-) Lying about facts that happened a year ago to incite millions of people to trash KC's community is more toxic than KC fans being mad about lies being spread about them. 3-) KC fans have the right to defend themselves. That is not toxic at all. 4-) if you complain about receiving death threats, at least show some good faith by screenshotting and showing those messages.

Yeah,I had to come over from Spotify to comment. What Ferra says doesn't make sense. The orgs exist literally to have players participate in the esport. If they are declining to participate unless they get paid that really does not make sense. Like if the players didn't want to play I'd get it but I doubt that honestly. they got in the scene cause they love to compete not for brand deals or anything. They literally could have accepted let the players just play to no cost for the org. Them declining strictly hurts any third party organizers cause I'll be honest, I'm only watching the NA summer league because the best NA has is there to compete. I no longer care about the EU league because I don't really care if EU 5 seed can beat EU 6 seed or whatever. That league hase become so much less interesting and to know that's the case because of org corpo greed honestly looks really grim for the scene. Let your players compete if they want to cause I guarantee they want to compete.

The whole forced vs. unforced errors debate is irrelevant, and I'm glad they kind of resolved to that. When Vitality beat BDS at Worlds, no one complained that BDS choked or didn't show up. Vitality deserved the win. At the previous Worlds, no one complained about how G2 choked against BDS because BDS deserved the win. This major, G2 deserved the win. Weird that people are trying to cope over Falcons losing. Falcons looked great up until that series, and they should be proud of that. Can't wait to see them at Worlds this year.

Ferra’s take on the appearance fee is delusional. The shift is making next to nothing for running this tournament. They can’t pay orgs appearance fees. Orgs need to not passively overpay players and coaches and let them keep nearly all the prize money. It’s all the orgs fault they are all in this position. They’ve been running unsustainable businesses for years in nearly all the big esports by just taking investments from “investors” and shady companies like crypto and nft bullshit and selling them all a false bill of goods while losing money the whole time.
