However, with the highs come the lows, and the past couple seasons have been particularly rough for Jstn and NRG. This downturn in form has led many to ask: What went wrong for the former RLCS World Champions?

I think this year will be very interesting for all 3 of them. Glad you mentioned the performance depending on attitude as for myself, just an average viewer, kinda saw the 'superstar prima athlete' attitude coming out a lot, where I was hearing him complaining about things more than anything else. (not specifically the team but the game...just tons of negative)
But then recently saw an interview where he seems light years more mature now. I'm really hopeful to see all three of them have success with the moves/changes!

Great video but i feel you kind of dismissed how much NRG dominated NA with Squishy there wasn't anyone even close to contesting them.
I agree the blew out most of season x and speech threw all that out the window, with that said they were all 3 pretty og players and all saw their highs way in the past and needed to make a change sooner
I made that choice just to reduce the length of the video to keep it snappy, but you’re right I think I should’ve skipped season 9 more and instead focused on season X before the fall.
@@sp77chyeah the fall split and even winter split of 21-22, teams respected NRG as the best in NA it wasn’t till that winter LAN that they fell off
There are a lot of pros that dont even regard that season as a true season that happened. It was just a filler season waiting for lans to come back.
i remember seeing justin as the best player in the world, back in 2019/2020. he was constantly winning. but obviously, he looks meh, because he (was) with squishy and garrett g. now, with his new team, he could be one of the best again

I think Shopify has potential to be a serious top contender. Paarth and 2piece are both really good already and are big grinders, I think being around them will help Justin find his motivation. He's not miles better than everyone mechanically anymore, but he's still really really good and I think he will fit in well with Shopify

He’s just getting old. And is playing in a meta that doesn’t fit him. He still has great mechanics but the change in meta from his prime to now was a drastic one and I think the NRG boys definitely had trouble adjusting. The NRG boys playstyle didn’t include the shooting accuracy and power that today’s teams have.

I’d still say there was a lot of conflicting opinions in NRG once Squishy joined plus they also used Squishy as a play maker for assists. When every other team he’s played with man’s been the hard carry solo player. So it might be better if he is selfless but what Squishy is good at he didn’t get a chance to do. Watching scrims of Squishy’s new team it’s clear that he has changed back to the old playstyle along with Justin still being cracked by himself. Just watch the latest clips from him, the man is crazy good but is held back.
Fanboys don't have any nuance, so of course people mostly don't notice that. Squishy is still legit one of the best players in the game, the man is never off his grind.
