  • This is the story of Kronovi's rise and fall as the best Rocket League player in the world. At one point, Kronovi was the most dominant Rocket League player in the world. Obviously he isn't anymore. Today we cover his story of how he rose to the top and consequently fell back down.

At his peak, Kronovi was the most dominant player in the world by far. The fact that he was able to 2v1 two other professional players and win, shows just how far above the rest of the competition he was. No one else was even close. Even the best pro players today aren't that far above the rest of the competition. They could still lose to another team on any given day. But Kronovi was so dominant that is was an anomaly any time he lost in the early months of the game. This is his story of how he suddenly rose to fame out of nowhere, and eventually slowly fell out of the main competition.

the "i am the mountain that people need to climb" quote really made me dislike him as a character. Soon after season one people climbed this so called mountain. And there were a lot of talented people, with better attitudes and were more entertaining to watch. Also i find it weird that this video is about "the best rocket league player ever" and people like GarettG, Kaydop, Scrub and Fairy peak are not even mentioned. Garett won every a title every year he attended except one where he placed 2nd place. The others i mentioned achieved much more on the highest level than Kronovi ever did. So in my honest opinion Kronovi is not even close to being the best RL player of all time. Even in season 2 there were some far greater than him

This is kind of wrong, because in RLCS 1, Kronovi's team was actually considered to be an underdog. At this point Kuxir's Team Flipsid3 Tactics was considered to be the best team in the world, and Kuxir the best player.
The video is really good, but it feels like it's overly portraying Kronovi as the undisputed best, when him and Kuxir were always very much equals. You can make an argument for Kronovi being the best, but not while leaving Kux out of the picture like this.

Underdog because of his teammates. Everyone agrees kro was leagues ahead and was the carry/backbone for that team doing well. Kux had stellar teammates beside him (even though, yes, he was considered the best on his team). Best two in the world for sure, but kro basically super supported eeeeeeverything his teammates did and was always in the right place at the right time. His game sense was absolutely off the charts. :)) No hate, just love for your opinion though. Have a great day my man! ^-^

EXCELLENT premise and delivery of content in this video. I would have loved to hear from Kronovi about what he believes led to that decline. Was he not practicing enough? Were there challenging life circumstances at that point in his life? Was he just simply being outplayed for no reason at all? I think a short interview with him would have been very enlightening for all of us (an interview I'm assuming you tried to obtain). After seeing this video he may be more motivated to give his side of the story and what he believes led to his fall from the top. I would love to hear from him concerning this particular topic.

I began around the same time. Yes Kronovi was the best back then, but for a long time I saw Kux as the best and I thought this video might be about him to be honest. Where Kronovi dit a lot in the beginning, Kux got to the top when the competition was a lot more on fire and watching him felt like watching a wizard with a lot of tricks up his sleeve and a reaction time that didn't seem possible.
Still, in terms of popularity and his early rise I understand he gave Kronovi the title.

As a lot of people can probably relate to, I loved Rocket League almost immediately when I started, but it's so funny to go back and look at 2015 replays that I thought were good. Kro was the first dude I saw that made me grind the game and realize that it was a special esport. The mountain will always be the shit to me. A great video to check out on youtube is Summit1G reacting to a video of kronovi when he first started and just being in disbelief at what this dude was doing. We were flipping around on the ground and whiffing while Kro was fast aerialing and hitting double taps and upside down flicks and shit. He's still a beast, too. This game evolves quicker than almost any other esport Ive seen, so Jstn and Retals and wondamike and even prodigies like Aqua make it look easy these days, but Kro made it look impossible from day 1.
