@@JakeMXZero breath of the wild was Zelda’s wii u game, and it got a switch release. I think a lot of Wii u stuff is becoming switch stuff, so it mightn’t all be in vain
@@ghrasta. Breath of the Wild was on Switch and Wii U since it got delayed so much that it could fit in with the launch titles of the Switch. They didn't make it switch only since they wanted an original Zelda game for the Wii U, however it was easy enough to port over to the Switch at its launch.

I knew Skyward Sword was going to be on its own as the only 3D Zelda without a remake. (And with all the fixes it needed) But the projects for Zelda were many. Think were going to see a collection like Mario got recently.

@@mrpuglover77 If you say so, what i actually meant though was after playing the game 3 times i know how they work completely so i was spotted once in Din's Silent Realm and still made it trough without death, but i also managed the others without any complications.

its not confirmed to be canon but there was a link before him and hylia did something so he would reincarnate into new forms in different eras to continuously save hyrule

This is my favorite zelda game out of all of them because of the uniqueness with the nunchucks and wiimote plus the game is beautiful i love the story and love the gameplay:) so much memories with this game. i used to play it with my mother may she rest in peace and she would watch me play it too:) i cherish this game so much!

Skyward Sword is one of the most special games. It’s truly fantastic and the only game that has made me cry.

Skyward Sword was 480p 30fps and Skyward Sword HD is 1080p 60fps. It's gonna be incredible playing at a much higher resolution, much smoother frame rate, and much higher accuracy motion controls.

Why wouldyouplay with montion control? I know it is going to work great but in my opinion I rather playing using the buttons, that is why I think this version is superior to the first one,was the montion control that kill that game when it came out, this game could have been there hanging with OOT, Majora's mask and all the other great Zelda games,the motion control and prevent him for doing that, but in the version a tleast you have the option to use buttons.
@@DarkHeartTheEmo I didn't mind the motion controls in Skyward Sword so better motion controls is a good thing to me. It is good for players to have options so I agree there, but I still prefer to play this with motion not tied to a flawed sensor bar.

See, I watched a full playthrough but I feel like the game needs more love, it should be a remaster in hd with updated textures and a updated lighting system rather than copying and pasting the game then redoing the controls and allowing it to go to hd resolution instead of 420p, I just think that some of these games need more love if you want to port them to the switch and sell them for 40+ dollars like miitopia which I still have on the 3ds, I mean... I'd rather replay that then buying an updated one with the addition of a frickin horse!

You don’t even know what they have or haven’t changed. There will likely be some quality of life improvements or a very small amount of content added similar to wind waker HD and twilight princess HD. If they game releases and that isn’t the case then you can start to complain. Remember this is only the announcement trailer. For the announcement trailer for twilight princess HD they didn’t mention the changes either, that was announced at a later date. Can’t stand people saying it’s just a direct port when they really have no idea

Funny thing to say since fixing joycon drift is one of the easiest things compared to a ps4 controller. My ps4 controller started to drift quicker than when I bought my joycons and they are a absolute nightmare to open and fix. Had to buy a whole stick just so I can replace the wheel sensor. Ironically the difference between both controllers is that I dropped my joycons straight on concrete by accident and it took a bit for drift, the dualshock 4 started to drift even without play so it's always going to be a problem with most analog sticks
@@mario4everd I'm always dropping my ps4 controller on hard floor and it never drifts, plus I've had it for only 2 or 3 years now. Although my nintendo switch left joy con always be drifting and I never really bothered to fix that issue so I just decided to use a wireless controller

I havent had PS4 comrroller drift but ive had much more problems with my ps4 console than switxh and i play switch way more. Its a pain to play on the ps4 if it starts ejecting your discs at random even when its off

To think this was my first introduction to Zelda all those years ago. Man, with how cinematic this is, they could do the Zelda series based on this. Also thank God, they allowed there to be button controls.

I never had any problems with the motion controls, on the VERY contrary, it was amazing. Plus the story, the dungeons design, the boss battles... everything was nearly perfect in this game

i don't understand why so many want's wii u ports. The Wii U is already in Full HD, so it's the same graphic. Also you can get the Wii U for 50$ and the games each for 10$. So you spend more money with buying the ports for 60$. Skyword Sword don't exists in HD, so it's much better than a Wii U Port.

lol I get to cry to Link meeting up with Zelda in the past again, but NOW in HD. Beautiful. The story in this game made sure that it would rip your hearts to shreds. People were hating the graphics & the weird Wii controls, but this game beats Ocarina of Time in terms of story.
I would love to see a free camera when using the joycons separately, that sweet second stick been used once againt to see the world.

I haven't had a chance to play the game yet, and it looks like I still won't have a chance to play it: there still doesn't seem to be a left-handed mode for the motion controls.

@@sasook Thanks, but I'd rather not be forced into one control setting that the game wasn't designed for when right-handed players can use either control scheme. Plus, a left-handed mode is something that should've been in the original version of the game; if it's not in this re-release, then I'm simply not going to buy it because I see no point in doing so if Nintendo is just going to keep screwing over left-handed players.

@@sasook Why a hero mode? Why not just a control option you can select that maps the motion-controls to the opposite joy-cons (they both have an accelerometer and a gyro, so any motion controls can be mapped to either one) and mirrors the game to make Link left-handed to match? Such a thing would take the team that's porting the game to the Switch less than a day to program.
If the Zelda twilight princess comes fore Nintendo switch, trust me. The Zelda fans will go CRAZY

In my top 3 of best zelda of all time, it introduced me to the franchise and i love it so much! So good to finally see it receiving the hd it deserves!
I was also introduced to the franchise through this game its such a good one right after finishing it I bought Twilight Princess and then I was hooked now every time I see a LOZ game I want it! I no longer have a Wii but I still have the games.
People who say this game is terrible dont know what they are talking about. People who say they this game is not the best zelda but Its ok I can understand that. People who say that this is one of the best zelda games now that is someone who actually played through the whole game.
@@Indy921 I agree that the game got more fun the further you went. The controls become natural and it’s a lot of fun to use Link’s tools in this game.
This game is a truly masterpiece and it's sad how underrated it is. I hope that now that's coming no nintendo switch, people can give it a try and discover the treasure that is this game

Twilight Princess HD fixed the "redundant explanations" from the original, so I have no doubt that Skyward Sword HD will do the same.

Actually that was twilight princess, skyward sword only did it for the items needed for weapon upgrades, I don’t think it happened for collecting bugs though?.

After just beating the game i will say its very fun the button controls are a game changer smooth and very fun. LOZ SS HD is a very well done remaster IMO.
Just got the joycons delivered to my house yesterday and I purchased a switch and the amiibo a few days ago on the Nintendo site, I love Skyward Sword and it was my introduction to the series and I can’t wait to forge the Blade of Evils Bane in glorious HD

Same. The game has gotten too much criticism on problems that were not even the game's fault, such as the sometimes inaccurate motion controls. Most of the flaws I have seen pointed out have really been quite small, yet with a large impact on people's enjoyment (such as unskippable dialogue and cutscenes, a slow loftwing, and pretty much every criticism of Fi boils sown to her dialogue not being skippable).

@@pixelframe7126 It'll come. This direct was only for the first half of 2021. We are probably gonna get the Wii U HD remakes onto Switch in the 2nd half, it's the 35th anniversary of Zelda after all

I'm counting down the days, cannot wait for this. I tried to play this on the wii and the motion controls were too much work when you just want to sit down and relax. So excited!
After I was done with my wind Waker let’s play I was going to play the Wii version in hero mode but this changed everything

Edit: Now that i think about it, it would make perfect sense. All that they would have to do is change the UI so it fits with the switch. They dont need to change anything visually since it was already made hd on the wii u. Also Skyward Sword isnt the most wanted remaster. While i do appreciate the changes and think that it will be a lot more enjoyable on the switch, people will see the 60 dollar price and not buy it. If you made it a bundle however, a lot more people will buy it, in the end making Nintendo more money. And they will try out the thing you put actual effort into remaking. It could be called The Legend of Zelda HD Collection. Thank me later nintendo.

There's definitely more in store for Zelda this year. They put a lot of work into making this game HD and remapping the controls, so bundling it with windwaker and Twilight Princess would'nt have been worth their money and time when they could just sell it individually for $60. I think if anything windwaker and Twilight Princess may get just a double pack
They sell wii u ports for 60$ because they already look like switch games, so it makes no sense for nintendo to make a cheep bundle. For example, mario world and pikmin 3 (and a lot more) are also simply wii u ports which looks the same and they sell it for 60$ and people are glad about it, so why should they make an exception with the wii u zelda game. In the Mario Collection there is no Full HD game, only games from n64, gamecube and wii.
