So skyward sword is in July, and Hirule Warriors gets a dlc in May and November.. I fear we won't see botw2 until 2022
If so, then 2022 gonna be PACKED. Splatoon 3, BoTW 2, Perhaps Bayonetta 3 or even Metroid Prime 4, and/or a new Switch?

I know, right? Everyone looks so fierce, except for Robbie and Purah, who are their usual lovable, silly selves, ready to tackle the challenges ahead with their brains and determination. But can we all take a moment to appreciate how good Link looks in the foreground of that artwork?! More mature, buff and, as always, ready for some action.

If they made that DLC that would have been awesome. I can just Imagine it! if you failed to save the champions events would play out differently. The citadel would fall without Vah Ruta. Fort Hateno would be overrun with guardians without vah Naboris. The mission where you storm Hyrule castle would play out very differently with only Zelda. It would almost be like an optional hard mode with different cutscenes where less characters become available as you progress.
Instead we are only getting challenge maps and more characters. I hope the ‘new stages’ is something promising.

YESSSS. Like....it was nice to see an alternate universe with a happy ending. But I really wish we at least had the option to see how things REALLY played out in the original timeline

It's arealdy in the game files(albeit a bit buggy), so all they have to do is polish it and implement it. Here's hoping for more costumes for everyone in general.

I’ll have to wait to see if there is a meaningful expansion included, like the champions ballad in Breath of the Wild, before I buy this.
It's going to be worth it for me anyway, but playable Robbie alone would probably be enough to make me buy it. I am a simple girl.

I will say, lack of the villains having a couple chapters where you play as them and win makes them look far less imposing. Remember in Hyrule Warriors 1 where Ganondorf ROFL stomps Lana, Link, AND Zelda and gathers the entire triforce?

Astor is far my favorite villain in the series,I honestly wish we can get more background on him.
@@thebarbiter4644 He's nowhere to be seen in any of the memories in BotW so it's a mystery wether he actually even existed in the canon timeline. We'll just have to wait and see what BotW 2 says regarding the existence of "Astor the Prophet of Doom"(Aghanim 2.0).

I wonder what do they mean with "vignette" and when they listed "stages" I hope they meant new story stages, not just randoom battle stages, in which case, they could be focused on the REAL downfall of Hyrule this time...
Apparently vignettes means: “a brief evocative description, account, or episode”. So maybe new backstory for some of the characters?

Ahhhhh, like those descriptions we have about the cast... I hope it's something a bit more than just that, or otherwise, a ton of those, like 40 new pieces...
I'm pretty sure it means the character art you can see in the gallery and when you unlock a character. The other definition of vignette is "a small illustration or portrait photograph which fades into its background without a definite border," which fits what's seen in the gallery fairly well.

I honestly am all in for more artworks in the botw / Age of calamity artstyle.
Also, as for the new stages, it looks like the "random battle stages" are the "challenges" mentioned in wave 1, so I'm assuming the wave 2 stages will have story significance. As for what kind of significance, I'm guessing either the og timeline calamity, some add-on events for AoC's timeline, or, what I feel would be most interesting, some set of levels that lead into the event of botw2, taking place in whatever timeline they've decided to put it in.
Can't wait!! Already got 100% of the game after a week so I'm looking forward to new content.

I really hope we get a scenario-based on the actual timeline where we find out what happens to Link, Zelda and Impa without Tarrako's intervention. Essentially, it would be the ending we all thought would occur, but I really wanted to see how Hyrule would survive Calamity Ganon's emergence. Plus Astor needs character development, at least Cia had a motive and backstory that was tied to Lana in the previous Hyrule Warriors.
The whole reason it's like this is so Nintendo could pretty much give Koei Tecmo a blank cheque with what they wanted to do in their new branch of history. They're not going to go back on that. If there is anything more to be discovered about the BotW branch, it will be in the sequel, not AoC.
I don't think they'll want to show deaths, that's probably why they avoided it

Agreed it was advertised as the prequel to BOTW but instead they pulled time travel BS to force a happy ending. They could’ve had something great
Satori Mountain or the Thyphlo Ruins would make kickass new stages
I hope the newly added stages are a continuation of the story of AOC. Maybe it would even give some insight on BOTW 2 that would be interesting.

I've been waiting for the prequel to Breath of the Wild that was supposed to release back in November. Nintendo did release a game in November, but it was some weird alternate-timeline story that read like a fanfiction, and wasn't at all what Nintendo advertised, so that couldn't have been it...

I hope they seriously buff a lot of the cast. I love how diverse the cast is, but when it's easier just do the hard missions with top tier characters in addition to how grindy is to raise weak characters why would I use the whole cast?

@@hundred2949 Impa, aside of her, it depends, Link is one but with certain weapons... and then is more of what you want from the characters, some people consider Teba as a toptier but others consider him hard to use so... But most people agree with Impa

My interpretation of the "New character vignettes" and "New stages" is some characters will have short story segments dedicated to themselves, some of which feature brand new maps. I won't hold out for exactly this, they were intentionally vague with the bullet points, but whatever it is I'm excited for it! My personal hope is I'd love to get Kass as a playable character and meet his teacher, who was the court poet before the Calamity

It's really not that bad. I played through the entire game and the frame rate issues didn't bother me at all. You shouldn't let the frame rate stop you buying the game.
For me it was only ever an issue literally once in the game. It was never unplayable like other people have said. Just got a bit choppy and didn't affect any gameplay at all
