@@marcelosandoval8719 I’ve only seen bits, but since they started you at 6 hearts still in the 1st trailer, they didn’t break down the extra hearts for new side quests. Even though that was months ago and changes could have happened. I haven’t seen the beginning 6 since that trailer. But it’s definitely not a straight port. I assume they fixed Fi and the obnoxious redundant explanations. So it’ll be way better for those that couldn’t get past that.

I can't wait to get back into Skyward Sword. The OST is one of the best for Zelda games. For those that played BoTW first, this is more of a traditional Zelda game in that it is more linear and it revolves around AMAZING dungeons, weapons, puzzles and music! However, there are some crafting /upgrade mechanism (a first for the Zelda series at the time) which was expanded on in BoTW.

@@Evarakeus I'll warn you, both Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess will test your patience at the start. They were made during the peak of Nintendo's hand holding tutorial phase.

Botw was the first Zelda game on console but I started Oot and Alttp on emulators. Can’t wait to play this one!
not gonna lie man the soundtrack on this game is beautiful, also hearing it live on the 25th annyversary orchestra was something that you can expierence once in life and an expierence that youre never ever going to forget
I had played every 3D Zelda up until this and some of SS Now that my wife and I played Botw and I'm getting SS this week, I really hope to go when they do the orchestra again

wanna hear an easter egg? in botw every mainline zelda game is metioned during the official opointing cerimony of link where Zelda states weather the hero is steeped from the ashes of twiilight or thrown acros time with many other refrences to but normaly people miss itt because they are paying atention to the champions.

@@nicebot337 absolutely it is. The best story and soundtrack in the series, the characters are exceptional, the world (though linear) is fun to explore, and with the new control scheme it’s more accessible than ever. You won’t regret a purchase.

Those passing lines of texts describing the adventure are easily reminiscent of trailers and commercials for earlier Zelda titles like Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess. I'm glad they decided to return to that.

It's a good game, not the best Zelda. I would play it just to fight the epic boss at the end game, it's the most fun and challenging last boss in any Zelda game.

@@KensBlade Didn't check this trailer's footage, but BOTW2's sequel trailers were also recorded in 60 FPS, but the actual footage was in 30 FPS. You could check it with software like Adobe.

Notice in the beginning of the vid, the Breath of the Wild and Twilight Princess references. This proves that all of the dots are connected in the Legend of Zelda universe.
Most overhated Zelda game ever. Hopefully the Switch port will open people’s eyes how how great this game really is.
Personally, my favorite game on the Wii, and certainly the best use of motion controls. I get that people don't like the change to motion controls and slower combat that comes with it, but it's so much more fun and dynamic than pressing a button. I'm still behind on playing Zelda games (still waiting on a port of OOT), but this also seems to be the most story-driven Zelda game.
I think it’ll be like Final Fantasy 12. It got a lot of hate and criticism when it was first released on PS2 but when it was remastered for the PS4 era, it’s since gotten a lot more love and appreciation. I suspect the same will happen with Skyward Sword.
Hated like wind Waker was hated quite a while ago.

There is a reason why Twilight Princess, the next Zelda game, look so grim and "mature".
I always thought the motion control in this game was good honestly. It was only ever janky when stabbing forward in a particular boss fight. Otherwise literally everything else worked fine. This game definitely has the most interesting combat in all the series and pretty good dungeons. I think the claims of waggle and motion control problems was blown super out of proportion. I had almost no issues.
It will be a million times better. The Wii was a trendsetting for motion technology. Now, if you play games like Ring Fit you can see how much more accurate it is.
IMO, people don’t like the motion controls because you gotta do some moving while playing Zelda.
Personally, I love it. Burn some calories while kicking some booty!
I personally believe that most people complaining about the motion controls would just swing around madly instead of having even the slightest semblance of precision or thought behind their movement. It really wasn't that bad.
I only had trouble with the lightning enemies.
The only time it didn't work for me was anytime you had to play the harp. Fuxk that lumpy pumpkin sidequest was traumatizing

I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again - Nintendo literally never fails in the music department when it comes to their games. One of the things I’m excited the most for this game is just the absolutely breathtaking soundtrack. I still have my 25th anniversary orchestral CD AND I got to see it live in SF. Next week I am pausing EVERY game that I am currently working on and dedicating all of time to this masterpiece again.

Never played Skyward before. Seeing this knowing the lore of the Zelda series though, it gave me chills
Despite all the negative comments about this port or the game in general, it’s still amazing. Your in for a treat with this. Also honestly this has some of my most favorite dungeon design to date. Nostalgia partway speaks for that but I also honestly feel the soundtrack is very underrated.

@Werlux I too never completed this game! I got to Demise, and never completed it. I think by the time I got to Demise, I just said f... it and didn't finish it. The game had worn me out to the point where I didn't care anymore. Perhaps this rerelease is a second chance?

Controversy mainly stemmed from the fact that it was a Wii release based around motion controls. Wii was already an iffy console for “gamers” to play on, then you add in the extra work/calibration to play, along with the lack of support for left-handed players and you get... that.
Great game, poor execution. They seem to have learned from their mistakes, though, because all the info we’ve got this last week seems they’re genuinely trying to put SS on the map.

As someone who's first game is botw, I can't wait to play this game and experience what a traditional zelda game is like. And lemme just say that the soundtrack is *chef's kiss*

Hopefully you got it. I haven't played it yet but having read about the story, it is absolutely fascinating how much thought they put into it. I was very very surprised with the result.
Probably the best actually story bits in a Zelda game
God skyward sword brings back so many memories of crawling through dungeons and fighting giant enemies who actually felt like a challenge. Don't get me wrong breathe of the wild is great but it just doesn't have the same sway as the older games. Twilight princess is among my favorites.
You know, this is one of those perfect gems to play over again.. and also because I have sold my Wii almost a decade ago with Skyward Sword… So yes Nintendo, I’ll be buying the game

Listen, I dont know any of you, but somehow I feel a connection between strong Zelda fans such as ourselves, we get to enjoy another Zelda release, and that feels great. It kinda feels like I've grown up with you guys, yet not once have I ever spoken to any of you, or vice versa

Go into it with an open mind (it's not Breath of the Wild at all, in terms of exploration). But it has one of the best stories and character developments in the series.

@@fdanims Me too. I LOVE linear Zeldas, I get lost easily in non linear ones. So I am looking forward to play Skyward Sword for the first time!

You’ve seen hate for this game? I’ve seen people saying it’s the worse in the series (not counting CDI) but it’s still very good
It became unpopular due to context in 2011. End of the Wii era when motion controls weren't as cool anymore, they doubled down with Wii Motion Plus for everything. It marketed new ideas, and there were but it was fundamentally the same template since OoT. More linear than ever which contradicted an adventure across the sky and a vast land. Fi was hated for the extreme hand-holding. Still had good ideas, dungeons, music, story, and more subjectively art. After BOTW it was easier to appreciate the linear design again, and various improvements (control options, less obtrusive hints, higher framerate and resolution) simply made it a nicer version to play. Recent complaints were mostly about full price for a remaster, often with fallacious notions on video game value.
I remember standing in line for this with my first boyfriend who had no clue about gaming and then watching as he finally bought his first real game that wasn’t a football. Now we’ve been engaged forever and we fight over every console and game available. GOOD TIMES.
