Have you ever cried from watching a trailer before
Ryan I feel with you bro.....
Ryan I have now
Ryan not until today
Ryan I honestly did in this one I'm so hyped
Ryan Yes.
when a trailer gets you hyped for a game you already sunk 800+ hours into
The Skyrim trailer does that for me as well bruh
Amateur numbers, I'm over 2000 between three profiles as I keep resetting and trying out the game by going different ways from the plateau, although running for Faron first is the best I've found as you can donate all of your shrines to stamina early on.
@@SheepdogSmokey That's interesting, I only started upgrading my stamina once I reached 30 hearts, which I know isn't the most convenient but my stamina limit didn't really bother me.
Feel you. I occasionally get back to this for that exact reason, especially since we still don't have updates on part 2
@@Andrew-sn9to That's how I did it the first time, as my friend did tell me about the 13 heart requirement before I could tell him not to spoil the game. Going back, I know how to make hearty stuff early, so I max out stamina then go for hearts. Sometimes I get the sword, swap hearts for stamina at Hateno, then go on, but it's just because I've "beat the game" already.
6 years later, 1 week for Tears of the Kingdom and this is still my absolute favorite trailer of all time. What a masterpiece.
Yep I agree imo it still beats the final trailer of totk don't get me wrong the totk final trailer was amazing but something about the botw presentation trailer just hits different it's still a masterpiece of a trailer to this day and still get chills from it
@@outrightflame4280 the totk trailer felt like they were showing so much stuff that ur head was gonna explode which i rlly liked but botw was better paced
@@outrightflame4280 nothing can beat this one, totk's did come close though!
So what do you think of tears of the kingdom?
Much much better music in this one
My heart breaks knowing we won’t have another open world series for another how many years.. trust me, I know we just got TOTK however it saddens me to know it takes so long. Masterpieces take time, I must have patience.
Totally agree!!!!!
We may not have one for a while, but knowing Nintendo something will make us surprise u gotta be grateful for getting one in the first place
I don’t mind, it gives me time to grow with the games - to truly experience them as a chapter of my life - it enhances the nostalgia factor a lot down the line.
Edit: this is just the bright side of it, but I get what you mean
But, it is also fun to imagine where Nintendo are going next with Zelda
You could play a non-nintendo game. Play a souls game or a metroidvania
Sometimes I come back to this trailer just to feel something.

Do I smell game of the year?
Twilight Wolf gaming I smell it too. I also smelled it when I watched the Splatoon 2 trailer.
I smell it too. more potent than an axe shower.
Twilight Wolf gaming no i think its just the Nintendo game of the year cause tabs is the game of tha year
Twilight Wolf gaming Yes you do
Probably the best game ever made...
Back here after the final totk trailer. It’s only this franchise that can hit you right in the feels, then and now.
Metal gear too bro.
Well for me, but if you watched MGSV red band trailer and know the games lore it will hit you in the feels.
No, literally any franchise can potentially hit you in the feels. Here, I'll prove it: The Last Of Us hit me in the feels. Just one example disproves you, but I could name dozens more.
@@sirbibton tLoU was an ok story but it is intentionally pulling at your heartstrings. If you fell for that that is a you issue.
It is a mediocre game too.
I believe tears of the kingdom is superior to breath of the wild (how all good sequels should be imo). But I don't think anything will ever top this trailer
@@sirbibton I think any game can hit you in the feels. Ori and the blind forest and Will o the wisps have more deeply touched me than any other game that I've ever played, to the point that it actually makes me cry when I play it. But it's definitely a different type of feels for Zelda with its 30 years of history. Having played and loved a series since childhood seeing it reach its zenith in a way that most of us never even imagined will definitely hit you in the nostalgia lol
So many people have been saying “Breath of the Wild is no longer good with Tears of the Kingdom being out.” But I love both of these games equally. Because despite all of the awesome additions to Tears of the Kingdom, playing Breath of the Wild will still be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.
Breath of the Wild is beautifully empty, just as Tears of the Kingdom is beautifully filled with life.
Honestly I prefer Breath of the Wild over Totk.
Breath of the Wild is just so iconic. To me it's like the "To Pimp a Butterfly" of video games.
Instead of obsoleting it, Tears of the Kingdom actually made me love BotW far more.
They’re both my favourite games of all time.
@@a_plastic_bag totk feels oversaturated to me. like a roided up version of botw. an idealized version. it doesn't feel right. But I still love the game.
Although I like Tears of The Kingdom more overall, I had a better experience playing this game.
Interesting fact, this trailer has 25 million views and Botw sold 27 million copies, insane ratio.
The hardcore fans (like me) probably watched this about 1 million times 🤣🤣
Now it has got 4 million views😂
*24 million
My sister bought me the game without watching any trailers and i had no idea this game existed or what LoZ was. All she knew was that it is a good game according to ratings
Can't wait for the sequel
This looks like a freaking movie trailer
The game could end up disappointing but there's no denying that this trailer is amazing.
IMRAGED I doubt it'll be bad tho we know at least it will have Super Fun gameplay if all else fails and from this Trailer the Story looks amazing
lars steupereart Ikr
Your profile picture is surprisingly fitting for this. XD
lars steupereart
Except this trailer doesn't spoil the whole plot like movie trailers.
Nothing. And I mean nothing, can make someone feel the same amount of awe and pure euphoria than an orchestra working so perfectly as one at 2:51. Absolutely breath taking
In that moment, when the main Zelda theme starts... thats when I start getting tears in my eyes.
This right here officer. This comment made me cry 😢 😭

Not even ToTK could beat what this first trailer made us feel… BOTW will forever be an unbelievable experience

Please tell me im not the only one who still gets goosebumps from Revali’s laugh
Yeah, it was cut from the English version but whenever I hear Chiplock's voice for him, especially in Age of Calamity, there's a sort of restrained excitement coupled with a snarl to his voice, like he's almost about to let himself go but he still has his pride to watch out for. I'm not done with AoC yet but I really hope I can hear him finally let loose (and it's already pretty nice to hear some of the false starts that accompany his battle dialogue) -- he deserves it. This is the first time I've heard his cut laugh and yeah, it's just as great as I imagined. (In case you couldn't tell, I have a favorite character.)
Apparently, the version in this trailer is the Japanese VA's laugh -- still pretty good, but is there anywhere to find the original?... sigh.
It’s 2020, it’s corona time and I am still tearing up watching this ...

I got it at launch but got sidetracked after 40 some hours and no divine beasts. Finally got back into it in March of this year and now I've played another 65 hours since. One divine beast done and 3 to go, but first the Master Sword is calling to me. I can't put it down.
@@HarmonicWave epic, it took me 4 whole days to complete the first one (Ruta) and 2 to complete ravioli's, all went uphill from there, completed Ganon and, you know, still exploring Hyrule, and trust me, it will make a part in your heart for it.

The best trailer in the history of video games. In just 4 minutes they are able to teach you the mechanics, premise, environment, climax, etc accompanied by a sick soundtrack. A Nintendo masterclass; sell what actually appears in the trailer, something that is greatly needed today.

Tears of the Kingdom's final trailer was bloody great, but between the two, this trailer still reigns supreme!
Agreed 100%
Couldn’t agree more!
This trailer was way ahead of its time. It did everything extremely well. It introduces you to the world, the adventure, the story, it builds tension and then releases it with the music and action. Everything about this is polished and paced properly. This trailer is phenomenal. I remember watching this every morning before my walk to school, getting me excited for the release of the Nintendo Switch. Those were great times, man.
It's one of those rare occasions where the game is just as amazing as the trailer.

This is still the best game trailer I've ever seen. And I'm not saying that just because the game itself is amazing (which it certainly is). But simply as a trailer, it's so perfect and well thought out.
I feel like it shows virtually every single epic thing in the game though, and it doesn't really portray the feeling you get playing 95% of the game
The Tears of the Kingdom trailer is even more epic, but yet it feels so much more earned in the serious tones that trailer gives (I beat both games and yeah it's not nearly as misleading in how epic it ends up being).
It's not even slightly better I feel, its substantially better to the point I feel this was the game Nintendo always wanted to make but needed to get BOTW out for the Switch launch and settled for that (still a solid game)

6 Years Later, this still the best game trailer of all time. Save maybe the final Tears of the Kingdom Trailer.
@@estusflaskk If this is true, they still all fail as TRAILERS because you have to play the game to understand the trailers. A TRAILER is about showing off the game. The actual product or story does NOT affect how good a trailer is in the slightest.
You simply don't understand what a good trailer is.
this is one of the few trailers where the actual game ended up being exactly as amazing as it looked
Amazing, absolutely. BotW turned out to be my favorite game in the past 10 years at least. Exactly as amazing as the trailer, though? I disagree. This particular trailer hyped up a story that was barely present (12 memories in the base game that didn't even add up to 30 minutes in total), and what little story there was didn't really feel tied to the world as a whole. Even ignoring all the requisite plot beats you'd expect from a Zelda game (Link's origins/family, how he got the Master Sword, etc.), they threw in an entire "rusted Master Sword" mystery that wasn't even referenced in the game itself. So while it definitely deserved its title as GOTY 2017, there were parts of the game that underdelivered.
Yeah, the concept for the story was great but it was very poorly executed in my opinion
@@jackconroy7122 I suppose is considered goty because of the concept more than other thing, I expect second part can take that and give it more life.
YO FR
@@jackconroy7122 they went minimalistic with the story on purpose so you didn’t feel obligated to save the world when you could be exploring. Look at it this way: the story is optional, but the exploration is mandatory.

Not only the greated game of all time, this is also a perfect trailer. You had to be there, everyone got really excited by this back in 2017 and the game lived up to the hype. Timeless masterpiece.
The maturity of Twilight Princess, Legacy of Ocarina of Time, Beauty of Wind Waker, Story Telling of Skyward Sword, the openness of original Zelda, the challenge of Zelda 2, and the hidden darkness of Majoras Mask, this will be the Zelda game to top them all. Hands down.

Fans between 2017 and April 2023: « BOTW had the best trailer we could ever hope for for a zelda game »
TOTK in April 2023 : « Hold my tear please »
Never really followed the Legend of Zelda series. Got my copy of this game and played it...absolutely blown away. This game earned its "Game of the Year" award and it's definitely a legendary game that still last a lifetime.
I had the same experience as you. I got it back in 2020 but only because my sister wanted it and I wasn't interested at first. But then i realised how good it was and I couldn't stop playing it... It's my favourite game by far.
This game is almost a year old now--but I keep coming back to watch this trailer. It gives me chills every. single. time.

Facts. I've never seen a entertainment product ever presented better than this one. Ever.

It's not one of the greatest. It is the greatest.
I would agree but then I saw the godzilla trailer
No argument with that man
Who’s here after watching the Tears of the Kingdom trailer ☝🏾 😅
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the first game of the Nintendo Switch I ever played, this game has new trees, nice grass, great effects, amazing effects and the most easy to learn gameplay. This game is marvellous!
« The sequel of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is now in development »
The hype is killing me.

It’s gonna be awesome no matter what!(for me)
