take a game like elden ring for comparison. you literally never know what you're gonna find... a boss? a new type of enemy? a new weapon with interesting skills? a new spell? a new skill that changes the way you play? an intricate character-driven story quest? environmental details that blow you away and tell a small piece of a the lore of the world? a cave? an entire new MAP underground? a castle? a village? a dungeon? so many possibilities that can change the way you're playing the game in unexpected ways. zelda is incredibly flat and predictable by comparison.

Just want to put this out on the inter-webs.....A huge thank you to Nintendo and the developers of this game. This has far surpassed any expectations I had prior to starting. I'm 20 hours or so in the game thus far. Without making this post too long, let me just say this is the best video game experience I have ever had. I received the original NES after my first day of Kindergarten as long as I didn't cry (Mom trying to bribe me, she was the one crying...FYI).....today, I think I may actually cry at how good this game is and how this somehow reminds me of my childhood. So thank you Nintendo and thank you to the developers!!!

My favorite thing about BOTW that is commonly overlooked, is that combat is almost always an option. For a player like me who loves combat, i’m able to engage myself with as many enemies as i please. However, with a player like my mom who hates fighting, she’s able to avoid most enemies and focus on collecting items and exploring (which is her favorite part of the game). This game is truly beautiful and was clearly well thought-out and planned so that everyone, no matter age, race, or gender, can enjoy it in its entirety.

This game has become my favorite gaming experience and one of the greatest experiences I have had in general. It was motivating enough for me to have over 330 hours on it with 100% completion in master mode. Thank you Nintendo for the overbearing dedication put into this Zelda entry.

The thing is this is the longest I've waited for a game in my whole life and it was also on of the best ones I've ever played. Totally worth all waiting.

I'm saying they could keep it 2d and have a completely different game

keenan Strauss No, they'd have the same game as botw but condensed into 2D.

This is the 9th symphony from Nintendo. So perfect..any detail of character and graphic you will get feel you are inside it. What a masterpiece..

More stuff like this. Behind the scenes in how these games are made are great for people who want to learn how it works and possibly want to make their own games one day.
