      Edit: Should clarify, Nintendo games aren’t as innovative and revolutionary as they used to be. This game is going to look and play almost exactly as the first did, it’s a barebones sequel that should’ve been left as a DLC. Nintendo fans get excited over the bare minimum and it’s hilarious.

    Coming back to this after the final trailer yesterday. I really like fuse and ultrahand as a mechanic. I feel like it's their answer to more tedious and grindy crafting systems in other games. Essentially crafting and making weapons and structures is more on the fly and hands on rather than grinding for materials and sitting in a menu for 30 minutes making what you need. Overall it's really creative and I'm so hyped to try everything I can I'm this game.

      Did it, though? The root issue with durability is that it compounds the issue that fighting basic enemies is pointless by making it actively detrimental ("break your weapons fighting enemies to take their weapons"). Infinite durability doesn't make it useful to fight anything.

    • @usedtobias
      @usedtobias Před rokem +5

      @@xSilentZeroXx This seems a little odd to me. You fight them because they're enemies in a video game that is, in part, about fighting enemies. In my experience, in terms of pure gain, there's very little reason to fight any normal enemy in *any* Zelda game; they might drop a heart, or a rupee, but the rewards are extremely minimal. It's just that the enemies are functioning as a barrier to something you want, e.g., a chest, the entrance/exit, etc. This is just true in general for a lot of games -- what's the point of Mario jumping on a goomba?
      Also, enemies in BotW often had materials that might be useful for crafting potions (and apparently, in the sequel, for item modification as well), so I think the "break your weapons fighting enemies to take their weapons" is at least a little reductive.

I personally always wanted a combo of Minecraft and zelda botw for Minecraft's creativness and Botws open-world-ness, + all their famous mechanics. For me I always thought Botw was really leading you to one road and one road only, the main story; upgrading gear, completing the occasional side quest, but mostly just driving you to and from the divine beasts before you beat ganon. I stopped playing after I beat the game, as I couldn't really find the motivation to complete all side quests, start speedrunning, buy dlcs(much less actually complete them), start modding, ect. i was only in it for the fight. I might be a lost player but what I took away from the gmod feature was a creative outlet to fill the gap of things I can trust to keep me busy after or during the game.
      TL;DR: Botw was temporary to me because I had not much to do after all the action, yet I keep playing a "childish" game like minecraft because the good, dopamine seeking discoveries you can find in that game are endless. Interpret that how you will.

The larger surface area and different shape of a tank would cause it to reach a lower terminal velocity than a human, especially if the human dives like Link here
      Both a tank and a human will fall at the same rate in a vacuum. This is due to the fact that the acceleration due to gravity is constant for all objects regardless of their mass, shape or size. This acceleration is approximately 9.81 meters per second squared (m/s²) near the Earth's surface.
      due the surface tension of the water, link would pretty much get the same effect as landing on solid ground

      @@baileycw15 Anyone who played the first one can tell you, that ain't the same map. Like, if you look at the twin peaks from the start of the view. it is in a completely different locale than where its suppose to be. There aren't cliffs to the left of it, its suppose to be a massive wetland. The Zora Domain doesn't even seem to be beyond those same cliffs either.
