Godspeed, Karen 🙏💐
Most of them really did stay friends through the years...
r.i.p. Doreen Tracey.
That's about all for today Mouseketeers.
But tomorrow,
our big special.
The Talent Roundup Show!
See you then!
Jimmie has an amazing voice
This superior produced program sent the relatively simple produced Howdy Doody to Saturdays only
2:13 I was born in 1949. Many of the Mouseketeers were the same age as me. I had put this way behind me. This message is so relevant today. Some of my peers are too dismissive and judgmental of young people. They fail to understand what young people go through today.
I am personally nearing the 70s, yet I still can not remember anything other other than the Mickey Mouse March. Now, this the first time that I have seen a closing. Since I was 5 at the time, I must have seen the MMC on television.
I had a boy crush on Cheryl, I loved her smile, it lit up the room. She is missed.
Annette suffered for so many years unable to walk, talk and eat. She needed a feeding tube. Horrible
God took her out of her pain in 2013.❤
U.Rest In Peace Karen. We will all miss you.
❤❤
1:01- "And now, I'll be going.......my---- way...................."
That close up of Sharon was so cute....so charming! I hope Jay Jay got braces later in his life. Jimmie was such a kind man! My two favorite mice together in close up...Annette and my heartthrob...Dennis! Don't know exactly what it was about him but my crush on him was fierce!
I remember seeing every single episode of The Mickey Mouse Club when I was much younger.

How many people, from The Mickey Mouse Club, are still alive? I'd say a few so we need to keep our friends for life.

If this was a Tuesday segment of the show why did Mickey Mouse at the end say that the next day was Talent Roundup day, a Friday? That would make this a Thursday show, Circus Day. Also, Mickey is wearing his Circus Day costume at the end.
this is from one of the syndicated episodes from the early '60s. During these shows, the editors would mix and match clips from different episodes and put them together to make a half hour episode. For example, on one of the episodes featured on the Best of the MMC DVD, there is a 1956 Wednesday roll call, a 1955 Tuesday segment, and a 1957 alma mater. So basically the mouseketeers grew and shrunk during that episode.
Okay, got it. Thanks for the explanation.
@@cricketrecords And oddly, starting with season 3 all the way into the syndicated run, the closings on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays would re-dub Mickey's lines at the end, removing any mentions of the upcoming days (and Mickey instead inviting the viewers to simply stay tuned tomorrow for a special show), whereas the closings on Thursdays and Fridays remained intact.
I was born in 1946😊
It is my sad duty to inform you that Mouseketeer Dennis Day was found dead after going missing for eight months. He was 76 years old and will be missed.
While a body WAS found in Dennis’s home, it hasn’t been identified as Dennis himself. We still have yet to find out if the body was his or not.

I take that back, the body unfortunately HAS been identified as Dennis..
Rest in peace (I hope) Dennis
I hope they did a background check on Roy before letting him in the club.
Why did they zoom in on Cubby and Karen every time it came to that “Now it’s time to say goodbye” line? Didn’t all the Mouseketeers count when it came to the emotion of bidding farewell for the day? Karen wasn’t always that focused with her lines anyway. Cubby does just fine but Karen would often look away from the camera for a second or two and hesitate with her voice also. Though she certainly wasn’t the best most of her acting on the show was good.
Because they were little and cute.
