- It's Linda Hughes's birthday, and the Mousketeers are playing a game of Mouseketurntoentertain. Bobby demonstrates the Super Goofy Shuffle, Lynn has solo tap number, and the entire gang dances together for the Donald Duck Walk. If you are curious, there are ten birthday candles on Linda's cake, but she was most likely eleven (or close to it) when this was filmed for the third season in 1957.

Nothing beats the old Mickey Mouse club
It really brings out the magic of Disney
You have to admire the behind the scenes adults who put together this superior children's TV program !
When I was 5 I got hit by a car and was in the hospital for 6 weeks. Our pastor brought me a borrowed tv to watch it was 1963 and I was able to watch tv for the first time as we had no tv at home and this was my favourite show.
Back in the day, a kid could buy the Donald Duck hat at Disneyland for about $2.50. My little sister had a pinafore she wore every day for years. Priceless!
Pinafores were very popular back then.
@@maureenmcgovern6119I hope Mickey mouse club reunion well come back in 2023 for walt Disney 100 years😊❤🎉❤
Such quality never goes out of fashion!
The Disney orchestra had a sound all its own.
Yeah, kind of sappy sweet stuff but far better than the junk children watch today, and especially Disney stuff today!
Was sad to see that my two favorite Mouseketeer crushes, Annette & Cheryl, are gone now.....sigh.....
Bobby was such a great dancer. So was Linda. I loved Lynn's Tap dance. Then all of them doing the Donald Duck walk was cute with those hats. Loved those kids!
Disney needs to release all the seasons of the original series on DVD.
I second that completely.
Me too!!
Give it a go from me too!
Yes me too.
@@pennysutch6628 me a few thousand Mouseketeers fans that spent their afternoons watching the Club. Come on you Disney big wigs open up the vault and give us hours of the joy of our childhoods.
I love the Super Goofy Shuffle. Bobby is good at immitating Goofy. I wish I was on there dancing with Bobby as Goofy. I think I can draw that scene where Linda and bobby get to dance.
I'm glad that Bobby was the first to try!
My earliest television memories include the Mickey Mouse Club. When the show began I was almost one,so it had to have been the first show Mom turned on to keep me quiet for an hour.:-)
OMG. I love Goofy. When I see him in the parks, I greet him as bestie.
boy those were the days! didn't have to worry about what your child watched on TV!
i love darlene she was really cute as a teen,,,,, very lovable... and cute voice
That's the longest Mouskeword I've ever heard.
Oh my gosh. I LOVE BOBBY BURGESS and GOOFY. BOTH ARE MY ALL TIME FAVORITES!!
Skillful Dancer that Bobby was.
How I love the original Mickey Mouse Club!! Thank you for uploading this! :)
The best network children's show ! That includes the offerings of the CTW , a mixture of entertainment with a dollop of education and a smidgen of morality .
Bobby was cute and a great talent!
Bobby is my second favorite mousketeer only behind Darlene. But he is my favorite Boy Mousketeer
justess martin Love That Guy.
When my daughter was very young it was hard to convince her the Bobby from the Mickey mouse club was the same Bobby on Lawrence welk! And why? One was in color and the other one. In color!!!
B
I meant to say one was in black and white the other in color!
After blowing out the candles - gotta have cake. Games later.😊
Bobby drops the Mouseketurntoentertain punchboard against the birthday cake at 0:53 but no frosting is smeared...I suspect a prop / fake cake.
2 wonderful things too enjoy in this episode I've not seen before.
Interesting that they all sang "Happy Birthday to You" at the beginning, because at this time, and for decades afterwards, this song was claimed to have an active copyright so that any public performance of it was supposed to only be done with permission, and with the payment of a fee. In recent years it was finally revealed that the song had NEVER been copyrighted when it was first published in 1897 and that Warner Bros. had been collecting fees and threatening people for years without any legal basis.
I first saw this on You Tube in 2010 or 2011 and loved it and still love the show ! THe kids have all grown into older adults and some have passed away too very awesome show it was back in the 60s and in reruns too in later years !
Lynn Ready, who did the solo tap dance, died on February 26th. His family just made it public. You can see the announcement on originalmmc.com.
That was on my birthday
The boy tapper (Lynn?) is excellent. Cute kid and the music he dances too is very catchy.
Thanks for posting.
All this, and it was in Black and White. I loved those WHITE tap shoes the girls wore....I wanted a pair more than anything in the world. I don't remember that second tap-dancing boy. Wow, he really had a 'whirly' way with his hand.s Ballroom Tap? (smile)
On the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Season 3 There Having Birthday Party and Dance Party from The Super Goofy Shuffle and The Donald Duck Walk
What a Great idea for a Child’s Birthday Party, instead of Chuckie Cheese and so on.
Awesome❤❤❤
Can anyone find that Goofy mask anywhere that Bobby was wearing?
IN the 1950s, the authorities busted people who operated punchboards.
Where are their cell phones and tablets? No video games to play? Poor kids of the 50's had nothing to do!
I think he was voice by pinto colvig
I guess he was voice by pinto colvig
Bobby was their best dancer, but he was getting a bit tall to fit in with the rest of the kids. I also notice Cubby and Karen aren't in a number of this scenes.
Why didn't they give Annette a party too? Both she and Linda Hughes shared the same birthday Oct 22.
Annette's birthday was October 12th.
You’re correct. Annette gave all of us many gifts, with her talented.
@@maureenmcgovern6119 this should have Annette's Birthday Cake at the end too.
I would also like to wear that Goofy mask like Bobby is wearing.
I never understood how Mickey Mouse had a friend that was a talking dog that walked on two legs, and Mickey also owned a pet dog that did not talk, and walked on four legs. Seems to me, that made Mickey some kind of slave owner. Also, the idea of a mouse having a pet dog is mind bending. I assume all the Disney cartoon characters wore white gloves to get over the fact that animals do not have hands.
Other commentators have mentioned how Disney got rid of everyone when the MMC ended with the exception of Annette Funicello . There were several who continued in show biz in a less prominent role like Burgess . Holdridge ,Baird , etc . even those who were not " stars " on MMC like Crawford , Grady , Peterson . Though Annette was the biggest historical name , she was eventually in the past . Shirley Temple who many consider the biggest child star played supporting roles for twenty years after her heyday . Many youth stars are flash's in the pan .
MOUSEKESHUFFLE!!!
SO GOOD 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🇺🇸
I wonder if any of these kids had trouble adjusting, once this show was over.
Please - take me back there!
5 kids on one side and 2 on the other.
And one at the head of the table
I couldn't work out what Goofy was. I didn't think he was a dog.
1:33 To start Shuffle
I remember punch cards!
Lynn Ready was on the 3rd season of The Mickey Mouse Club (show was on for 3 seasons). He usually got paired up with Cheryl. Not in this number, however.
Somehow I can't recall ever seeing any cartoon where Donald Duck actually walked in that manner. In "Saludos Amigos" and "The Three Caballeros" his dancing didn't even remotely resemble any of those moves.
Today is my Birthday!
Cubby was on all 3 seasons of the Mickey Mouse Club. But, no mouseketeer was in all the sketches. He just happens to not be in this number.
I'm glad. Next to fake smiling Bobby that little runt is my least favourite boy Mouseketeer. To hell with him and his bloody drums.
@@shanemckenna9416 Well then. Who's your favorite Mouseketeer?
This is so hyper sweet I'm coming down with diabetes
Cheryl is my fave.
Why aren't these on Disney+??
So now it's The Donald Duck Club with The Ducketeers instead, huh? What the fuck did I just watch?
Everyone has a goofy mask laying close by..... duh.
Noooo they did it all wrong they are supposed to sing then blow the candles not blow the candles then sing they did it all wrong and it's going to bother me for the rest of my life
Katie Hoffman this was aired in like 1957 or 1958 so maybe they did it differently back then
Am i the only one who can't stand the 3rd season replacements Hughes, Agrati and Ready?
No you're not I can't stand Lynn Ready, Linda Hughes, or Bonnie Lynn Fields. Don Agrati, I don't mind because he's actually not such a bad guy and he went on to become a huge star unlike the other third season replacements who just fell off the face of the earth after The MMC ended
I would take Bonnie Fields over Don [ Grady ] Agrati anytime. She was a terrific dancer and had a very good singing voice but alas like Darlene never fulfilled her potential as an adult.
Chris Banner with the exception of Annette (who was Walt Disney's favorite) none of these Mousketeers really became the big celebrities they should've been. Walt Disney kinda just threw them out on the streets after The MMC ended in 1959. But he kept Annette and used her for many films. It shows he had favoritism at the time
Was this program all that? Tapping, dancing and music? Kind of annoying, huh?
I liked it! I would have loved to have been able to tap like that! Still like to watch and wish!
@@janeiwasduncan8463 I loved it too. I was a child perfomer myself but I wasn't really famous.
