It'll be in a scrapyard by then, modern cars simply don't last as long as 90's cars. Even finding a 90's S class like theirs in good condition is rare & only because serious money has bee spent to keep it working.
With all the electronics in it, this car won’t last nowhere near 20 years.

Back in the 70s and 80s, AMC cars were consistently the lowest priced machines around second hand and they would still be reliable as ever. The only reason that the Germans are so low today is the same reason as the AMCs: stereotypes.

That might actually be a problem, I would like a build in navigation and a basic computer but that's it just navigation, radio, Bleutooth a clock and that's it.

Loving the hell out of my 2012 S500 4Matic. Bought it at 4 years old for 70% off the new price with less than 40,000 miles. All the toys that new one in the video has but without the price. Had it 2.5 years now, and nothing went wrong. Epic autobahn cruiser.

Tbh, my dad had the pre-facelift S500e for a while (before taking delivery of his normal S 500 L), and when I drove it, I basically never had to put on the v6 when driving short distances. First thing coming to my mind was, that they should've made a car with the 63 engine and that battery pack. It ate up a lot of space in the trunk though, and was rwd only.
That car would depreciate faster than I can read this sentence.

I work in a Merc dealership as trainee... Massage function on high intensity is quite nice in the newer models. Though, it's still a little... too mild. At least when stationary, an even more intense mode would be nice.

Seriously my 2006 Lexus ES330 reclines that far back too. And I’ve got electric rear sunblind, heated and cooled seats, voice control navigation, automatic rain sensing wipers, six spoke optional chrome rims, led auto leveling headlights, Mark Levinson premium Audio system, sport tuning suspension, and much much more. All for 5 grand !!! And the best part is , it’ll quite literally last as long as I take care of it! Those Toyota/Lexus V6s (and V8s in the LS) will go forever if you take regular care of them. I’ve got 220,000 miles on mine and it drives and feels like it’s brand new. It genuinely hard to believe how smooth it drives, it feels like I’m on a cloud lol. Also it’s in immaculate condition cuz I take care of it. Crystal clear headlights, not a wrinkle in the leather seats, spotless interior. Obviously it has a couple paint chips from it’s 13 years and 220k miles of highway driving.

Magic vision control is a suspension control system with a camera. The camera is the grill is there for a reason. It watches for bumps and holes in the road ahead and adjusts suspension travel level
BTW magic vision control s just you being able to see better when the wind screen wipers are spraying/cleaning the wind screen

I appreciate everyone has an opinion, but how possibly is the old £1k s class banger better than the brand spanker £120k s class? Completely remove cost from the equation, as you said, what can the cheap one do better? Now I appreciate an old car as much as the next person, give an an ls600 any day, but no one in their right mind would genuinely pick the cheaper one if money wasn't an option
so other than the heated arm rests, rear front seat control and blinds, the new 508 has all of the stock features and even some of the premium for

The old MERCS still seem luxury today, they might not have that much tech but they still have that luxury feel.
I bought an older BMW a few months ago and it still holds up. It doesn't have to much crazy tech but the quality of materials, style and general design still feel classy and well done.

There is a driver's seat massage, IDK what they're on about. Also, the rear seat can recline more with the upgraded rear seat package, which also adds a deployable foot rest as well.
