@@gsjourney3054 Wtf are you talking about? That's a 1995 GT with the original pushrod 5.0L EFI V8 engine. Ford produced that engine from 1986-1995 with some variations along the way. They weren't very powerful from the factory but had the potential to make big power with the aftermarket and fairly inexpensive too.

Friend of mine drove through a drive in with a tractor, and blew the whole exhaust gasses straight into the window through the whole store. When they revisited a week later, they had a sign installed, saying No Tractors.... Lol
I revved the living shit out of an old Volvo 740 standing in a looong line between pay window and get yer food window. Lady in pay window started yelling about the exhaust but me and me mates gave 0 fux keeping the rev limiter doing its thing. This resulted in an angry McLady coming out through a side door handing us our food before the people in front of us and shooing us off.

I drove pre-production test Mustang from model year 2016 to 2020. Right hand and left hand. In the US. All engine transmission combinations. Favorites 4 cylinder automatics and V8 sticks. The 4 cylinders gets better mileage than a Chevy FWD Trax. The V8 well you don't get an 8 for mileage, but it actually does real well for a 480 HP. If you keep the pedal off the floor.They defiantly were not made for 8 hours a day in the seat. The 4 banger has the better ride plus better twisted road ability.
I would get a 4 cylinder automatic. ONE big problem. The wife would let me drive it only when it needs service, gas and washing.

To everyone thinking about commenting about why they pulled him up about reversing; The reason they don't want people reversing round the drive thru is because yes, you (and Alex) may well be able to do it without messing it up (and very well done to you), someone else might make a real mess of it. They might hit something or someone and they'll probably be much slower too, which isn't helpful when you want the drive-thru to be moving as fast as possible. Once you let one person do it, everyone will want to, and it all goes downhill from there. You can laugh at where they've drawn the line all you want, but it's there for a reason.

That car really is such I clean example of a mustang that old. You barely ever see a mustang that good looking at that age here in the US. He’ll even newer ones like 2012 mustangs are often rode hard and put away wet so good examples are few and far between.

In the us we average combined mpg. My Corolla gets over 55 mpg doing 70 in similar circumstances but on average 33.

The fuel number is legit. About 10 years ago I had a T-Bird with the 4.6L and was able to get 33 mpg(US) [which is 40 mpg(UK)] when driving 55 on the highway at night. The T-Bird is also a much larger and heavier car, though it is more aerodynamic (0.30 drag coeff).

You've never even seen a Mustang II (from 74 to 78) much less driven one. That is by far the worst Mustang. The reason you've never seen or driven one is that a fun-loving God can only take his own jokes for so long, and most of them became beer cars by 1985.

American V8’s from the mid 70’s to the late 90’s were incredibly under-stressed from factory as to make them as long-lasting as possible.
A hotter camshaft, a set of long tube headers, an intake manifold and a bit of ECU tuning and/or a big carburetor will generally add at least 100 horsepower.
And at most, as is the case with a Chevy 454 big block; all you need is a nice camshaft, a set of long tube headers, an intake manifold and a Holley 4-barrel carburetor to make 600~ horsepower.
Supercharger gets you to 420 whp...

It's an automatic, really hurts the performance of that generation. Change the axle ratio, put an exhaust and intake, and it will liven up that car a bit.

@@brianshaggy Before the coyote/mod motors, ford made ohv engines. In this case we are specifically discussing the 302 and 351 windsor family engines or also know as small block ford,sbf. The 302 had two different versions one being the original and the newer one being the H.O.(high output) main difference to note is the firing order change. The 302 HO and 351 share the same firing order which the chevy ls also has. The other things that the chevy ls has that ford first massed produced or at least from what I remember is deep skirted blocks and cross bolt mains but I don't think those changes occurred until the mod motors came out. However the layout/dimensions of the heads between the sbf's and the ls is fairly similar but not exact.

1. Mustang handles on par with a m3 so saying it handles badly is just factually incorrect.
2. Mustang is far better looking than the camaro's dated out of touch design in most peoples opinions.
3.Mustang is far more comfortable, I'm 6'3 and found the camaro to be hilariously uncomfortable. For such a large coupe they managed to produce something less comfortable than a miata.
4. Mustang has great visibility whilst the camaro has the worst visibility I've ever experienced in any vehicle.

Migara Rodrigo gonna disagree, late 90’s/early 2000’s we’re getting really good again. LS was released and was making good power with decent fuel economy and also had badass cars like the terminator cobra and the corvettes at the time.

When I was 15-16 my dad was trying to get me to get a v6 and I told him if its not a v8 I don't want to buy it. Turned 17 and I found a little cobra and bought it. You will eventually find one just make sure its the right one... Don't rush something and regret it later! My bro bought a 2015 ram truck and hes 18.. Now he's paying payments on it and regreting it, dont do what he did. Good luck I am sure you will find the one you want eventually! ☺

Mustangs aren’t muscle cars, they are pony cars. I had a 2002 Mustang GT with a 5-speed manual. I would drive 280 miles from our house in Dallas to our other house in Houston and average 32 mpg. However, when I did stop and go city daily driving, I averaged 16 mpg.

I had the same motor in an Australian Fairlane.... the V8 doesn't do any work cruising on the highway so it's quite economical... around town is a different story.
The automatic version of the sn95 is so painfull slow, the manual is actually loads of fun and quite quick for its age

My top 3 favorite Mustang. Also, I like the euro taillights.
Those mustangs all the way through the mid 2000’s were not well-built quality machines. But they were cheap and available. A GT manual was a great starting point for some basic tuning, and the SVT supercharged version (independent rear suspension also) was very good, still desirable today. Cars are so large, heavy, and disconnected feeling today that driving one of these now reminds you how much better all analog era cars were for driver engagement even if they weren’t the best regarded cars to own in their time.

The optional diff on the v8 would reduce rpm from 2100 at 70mph to about 1700rpm. The same diff was actually standard on the 3.8 v6 so at 1700rpm the latter could approach 40mpg at 70mph!
