Having had both supercharged and turbo'd my old MX5 I'd say the v6 performance was actually a bit disappointing. Mat won that purely on the value and the much lower hp. That said average td04 turbo setup probably would have cost similar to the charger and rinsed the pair of you 😎
It ran a 13.2 at the quarter, that’s 6/10 faster. Which is a lot. Plus the glorious V6 soundtrack.

I am a huge fan of Fords V6 engines, especially the Duratec 30 MZI VVT, developed with Mazda, because they are common and cheap, reliable, make good power, and have a good aftermarket. Plus they make a good sound, especially compared to a 4 cylinder. So I may be a little biased lol
@@iDrive4fun93 I think Phil's V6 comes from a Jag. I know it has individual throttle bodies and stuff so its a pretty cool one. It was hasn't been tuned on the Dino yet so until that happens we won't truly know what the power figures are.
@@TheFlyingClutchman so that 3.0 V6 in the Jag is a Ford engine, called the AJ30, a variant of the Duratec 30, but the difference is the Jag has direct acting mechanical bucket tappets as well as a higher redline. It’s a fantastic engine. With the ITB’s I would say it’s not less than 240whp, since the engine stock made 232bhp.
