- Here's a walk around of my own Mazda MX-5. I'll talk you through why I bought the car, what modifications I've done to it, what's gone wrong with it and show you how difficult it can be to film these videos... Yes, even though I was in a public carpark someone was very cross that I was filming... And so a little argument ensued!

I was filming in a car park for the local doctor's office, and the nearby resident just didn't like that. I thought you guys would find it interesting to see how it can be a little difficult to film out in public sometimes...

Yeah, I assume it’s a public car park. Had it been private land, I would be more understanding. I think it’s very, very rude to try and shoo someone off of a public space, especially when they’re not disturbing the peace.

Yup, my friend's car was keyed by an older lady. She didn't like that the car was parked in front of her windows even though it's perfectly legal to park there. I bet she was pissed when she had to pay for painting the car (thank you dashcams!).

Trip down memory lane for me. I owned a Mk 2 1.8i MX-5 for 15 years. Only had to get rid of it because the family size grew past the number of seats. I didn’t mod the car at all, but I absolutely loved it. You’re right about the tendency to rust though… mine was starting to show rust all over the place by the end. Checked it on DVLA the other day, it’s still out there more than a decade after I sold it, so the rust was clearly sortable…

So i started considering the miata, and a lot of people are calling it really fun, and this video helped me a lot so i get to know the pros and cons of it. So thank you very much for it.

The supercharger sound reminds me of my 2005 Cooper S I had to sell a couple of years ago. I love that sound.
