if its not that comfortable then stick it on a rubber strap, problem sorted. I agree that the 38mm would probably be way too small on your wrist. 152gms on bracelet vs. 86gms on rubber strap.

What is the end link-to-end link measurement on this 42mm, since they are male end links? I have a Seiko Monster v4 and the end link measurement is 53.5, with a thickness of 13.7 so it is large. The fact that this is 11.5mm thick seems perfect for a 42mm (i have a 7” wrist) but i am concerned about the end links hanging over. The monster has what I would call stubby end links which helps it sit nice
Unfortunately, I sold this watch on my website watchdan.com and so I’m unable to measure the effective lug to lug! But without the protruding endlinks I believe it was 49.3mm, so not too bad.
i think the 40 will suit you perfect, the 38 is to small for your wrist.

Regarding the 42mm Size. is this measured across to the outside edge of the bezel or the diameter across the sapphire crystal?

Sounds cheap when turning bezel like an orient watch I used to have…rest looks ok but probably feels on the cheap side like price suggests.
I have a trident 🔱 pro 600 from 2010, first time serviced was in 2023. Fantastic quality and finish for the price. I have a Orient they are complete junk compared to Christopher Ward London. I love my watch.
