There would only be 3 things I would want from Christopher Ward.
    1. An option to buy a Cosc certified SW-300 movement on the Trident pro 300, they are doing it with the twelve, and people like the options they have, so, I think CW will add this as a feature, maybe a separate more premium version.
    2. The color Red or Dark red on the Trident and Twelve, it is an underrated color on watches, and I feel it would look amazing on the Trident, but especially the Twelve. Also to have that color (dark red) have a 38 mm option
    3. For the pro 600, if they can, a helium escape valve. Imagine a Trident 600 pro with a helium escape valve, and a cosc movement for $1,600, boy, that would be a steal.

After wearing my new C60 Elite 1000 for nearly 30 days, it is…by far…my favorite watch I’ve ever owned. James, this is truly a fantastic watch. I got the white dial 40mm version in March and have the same feeling as you. I do think the bezel action is far superior to Seiko. If someone offered me a real Submariner in trade (obviously ridiculous) for my Pro 300 I would only accept to then sell it and buy several CW watches. Only skipped through this one but I think you've mentioned your wrist-size in another CW-video ... 6.75 inches, IIRC? If so... I might just be able to pull off the 40mm on my similarly sized wrist (17cm). Re CW: I only own two Steinharts, a San Martin Tudor GMT Pepsi homage and the 39mm CW Sealander ... and out of those, the CW does stand out WRT quality and finishing. It's pretty close between Steinhart and CW, but I think the CW is more highly finished - and I prefer the case-shape and the way it sits on wrist.
Still: It doesn't come with an elaboré grade SW200 (Steinharts do) and it wasn't as tightly regulated. I've owned seven Steinharts altogether, and they all had way better regulation out of the box than my Sealander.

The one that you reviewed seems to have less taper to the clasp than the 42mm I bought.
The 40mm is 20mm lug width, and guessing tappers to about 16mm, with about an 18mm clasp?
I'm thinking the 42mm (and possibly 38mm) uses the same clasp and 16mm screwed links, with just different links getting bigger towards the end links/case.
Its a shame that they cut corners on the bracelet, because it means the 42mm does not look as good as the 40mm dimensionally IMO : (

Hey James. I found your channel and have really been enjoying your reviews! A few weeks ago a Watchfinder & Co video for the new Christopher Ward The 12 came up on my CZcams feed and I instantly fell in love. My wife has ordered it for me for our 10th wedding anniversary. While looking through their watches I came across the C60 Trident Pro 300 and thought it looked like a really nice watch with really good specs. I searched for videos which led me here. I’ve also been Looking at the Ginault Silent Service. I watched your video on the OR2 and was wondering which of the 2 watches you prefer? I know you love the C60 but how do feel the 2 watches compare? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Hello. Thank you so much for subscribing. I appreciate your support.
It is a really good question about CW vs Ginault.
Both are made, finished and feel fantastic.
I have been blown away by both.
I do think the CW has a lot more interesting (wow factor) details.
I also feel that CW would be a better long term purchase as it comes from a bigger company and may be easier to resell if you want to.

    • @budd7759
      @budd7759 Před rokem +1

I guess my problem is that the Sub is my favourite watch but due to Rolex and their AD’s business practices it will be next to impossible for me to get my hands on one. Also the cost is absolutely ridiculous. The Silent Service has the Sub case shape but enough other changes that it isn’t a copy. I don’t have issues with homages. I think it’s an amazing looking watch. I actually like the look of it more than the real deal.
The Trident is an amazing looking watch as well. The light catcher case looks so comfy and just looks awesome. The dial and bezel look amazing as well. The hands(especially the second hand), the indices and the 6 o’clock date window are just about perfect. The bracelet with the on the fly adjust in combination with the case shape will be so comfortable.
I guess at the end of the day it comes down to the company. CW is a way larger company that I expect to be around for way longer than Ginault. I feel more confident in getting warranty or service with CW.
