    I bought my C3 Morgan Chronograph back in January and now only take it off when having a shower. I’ve got a great Omega Geneve 1971 and a couple of others but can’t take this C3 off at all. I’ve ordered a C63 GMT as I’m very impressed with the quality, style and price point of their watches.

    Since 2020, I've been pushing and expressing my admiration for. this brand. So much value, attention, modesty and care for the product and for the people. I am glad that CW is now getting more exposure in the medias. I have often said, as an exemple, why buy a Selita Black Bay 36 or 39 when you can get a C63 Sealander for a third of the price. I know, the later is not COSC but my own C63 runs at a steady +1 second a day.
    I also have a Christopher ward fund and I already own 6 of them. This brand is remarquable and with what we saw from them this past year, I predict it will one day become one of the major ones (desirable but still attainable and affordable).

    Wow. If you’re starting out the channel with this kind of quality, it’s got a lot of potential. Great photography and interesting commentary. The Twelve is a killer watch both in specs and looks. CW is putting out an excellent product. I might have to get a Bel Canto eventually, because they’re just so cool. my favorite brand at the moment is probably a tie between Longines and Omega, but I’ve been going down the Seiko rabbit hole recently. Keep up the great videos!

    I've been thinking about getting me a CW for years, but I never saw one that really seemed perfect for me, until I saw the 'Twelve'. I pulled the trigger on the silver/white version in 40mm and although it's one of my less expensive watches in the collection, I must say I really love it. It's also the favourite watch of my wife in my entire collection and she loves it so much that I decided to buy the 36mm (glacier blue) version for her. I would have picked the Titanium version for myself if it was available in the normal dial colors.

    Hi, I went through several watches in the entry level tiers and I really like Tissot and Hamilton with just one pick from Seiko (the Sarb017) which I have bought from Japan in 2019. Recently, I had a crush on several Longines models but at this time I cannot really pull the trigger in a financially responsible manner :) Christopher Ward 12 cought my eye as well and I am between the glacier blue and the Maurice Lacroix Aikon 42 in Blue. I am not able to decide as of now :)

    Damn it! You already had a watch I wanted (the Devil Diver). And now I see you have another: the C60 Trident.
    I liked your collection before… but I’m really impressed now. Congrats!!
    As far as brands go, my favourite right now (including those ridiculously unattainable ones we all know of) has to be Longines; it’s putting out amazing time pieces, heavily supported by their back catalogue and history, with a quality and design that is unmatched for the price. I recently purchased a Zodiac Olympos Military Field - stunning thing - but I can’t help feeling I should have contained my urges and save up for my grail: the Longines Spirit Zulu Time. That’s how good I think they are…

    I love Christopher Ward as well. Greatest micro brand out there if you ask me! But the main problem that I have with the brand is the way they engineer their watches. The crown tube isn't replaceable on CW watches because it is an actual part of the case... If they fix that problem, I'll definitely get a CW.

  • @SchafeyWafey

    There are so many watches I love from different brands; however, even though only one of my absolute favourite examples of different watch styles (diver, sport, dress, etc.) are from this brand, I feel as though Omega are my favourite brand as a whole. If I could only choose one brand to kit out a collection, Omega would be it.
    In the same vein as Omega, I think CW is great. So many options for different styles of watch, just more affordable.

I didn't have to size it so I had to move over some of the bracelet segments from Christopher side to Ward side. If you have the watch, you'll understand to get the clasp in the middle of my wrist. I do like CW watches, but you Cannot tell me that Sellita movement and a brand name quantify their price point. I’d go as far as to say even that if they had their own in-house movement that worked well I could somewhat justify the price points (aside from the Bel Canto being worth the price point..).
    Look at Direnzo watches as an example to what i’m getting at. Yes, they use a Sellita, but look at the amount of detail and thought that went into his new Aerolite, and for Only $813 USD fully shipped and delivered to the states. Gorgeous watch by the way as mine just came in off preorder a couple days ago.
    Great video however, I think this channel will have more great videos in the future, just wanted to add my 2 cents. Cheers to our addictio- I mean hobby 🥂

    Great video, I wish you well on your site. I just wished I’d thought of doing a channel way back in 2014, I think I’d be up against it with the talent that’s out there. CW are really knocking it out the park at the moment. Federico talks watches has also just praised them…..they must be doing something right. I’ve followed them since the start, but have never pulled the trigger, but the value they produce is unreal. Amazing attention to detail added to the great choice of sizes, plus great movements and thinness. After being a Seiko nut for decades, and still am, I do love Sinn and Damasko. German engineering with decent prices. However, right now I do see the appeal of Christopher Ward, their watches do seem to show up even the likes of Rolex as an all round package. Who knows, I might just have to save up for a Trident of some form.

    CW are a great brand. I was around pretty much from the start of the company. I do miss that CW himself is no longer at the company though. Being able to email him directly whenever you had a problem, knowing he (or his wife) would sort it for you was great. Them were the days... I have had three CW's, although none of the more recent ones just yet. I had the C4 Peregrine quartz chrono, The C60 Speedhawk valjoux mechanical chrono and the C6 Kingfisher quartz diver (T3 ltd edition). All were great, but only the former remains with me now, as I adore it's unique style and absolute tank like daily beater toughness (4.5 mm sapphire glass anyone 😁!). The price it cost me in one of their (2008) bi-annual saies - £95!!! Again, those were the days, sadly never to be repeated.

    I started getting into watches around 5 years ago when I got my first ever bonus. Bought myself a SevenFriday in black & gold since it was sort of a grail watch amongst the people I was around with at that time.
    But lo and behold, 5 years in my favourite watches have a lower price bracket. I have a huge support for Microbrands and a big fan of titanium as well. My go-to watch will be my Zelos Mako as my casual wear and my Marathon search and rescue as my daily beater/tool watch. CW is definitely something that speaks to my design language and I i’m considering the Lichen 36mm or an Icy Blue PRX at the moment.
    Really difficult choice to make, but anyways keep up the good work. Definitely love the direction you are heading towards and if I have my own channel one day I’ll definitely want to collab with you some day! Also, the Boldr from your last video to Malaysia was fuego 🔥

    Hey, just wanted to say that I made it to the end of the video, and I'm happy to comment, especially if it boosts your engagement.
    I think my favourite watch brand is probably Omega. I think they, along with Tudor, strike the best balance between form and function, but Omega has a stronger reputation as a watch for people who get stuff done. They're luxury without resorting to the artificial scarcity sham that Rolex love. I like the Seamaster Diver, I like the Speedmaster, I like the Constellation. Maybe one day I'll own one. I'll freely admit that I'm vain and the fact that they're recognised and respected brands appeal to my lizard brain.
    But I'm here with everyone else, watching a Christopher Ward watch video, because I can't afford an old-boy-club luxury watch on my NHS wages (not complaining) but I still want a watch I can appreciate while wearing regularly, plus the Citizen I've had for 15 years is knackered. The quality for the price seems unmatched, and frankly that's the main thing I look for in my other hobbies, the fact that they're also lovely to look at is even better.
    As a general rule, I don't like wearing other people's names on my person. I don't wear Ralph Lauren mostly because it's very expensive and mostly ugly, but partly also because my name isn't Ralph, and nor is it Tommy or Giorgio or I can't think of any other fashion brands. I don't want to be a walking billboard, and having Christopher Ward written on my wrist is very off-putting, so I agree that the new branding is a massive improvement. I'd have gone even further and dropped the "Christopher" altogether and rebranded completely to "Ward Watches" but I can understand why they didn't.
    I can't wear a watch for work anyway, clinical staff have to be bare below the elbow, and I wouldn't want to wear a nice watch anyway given how frequently I knock into stuff in the back of the ambulance, so it's never going to be a "daily driver" for me. I like the idea of a dive watch because I do dive when I can, and while they're not that useful for actually diving any more, I like the idea of wearing something that represents the sport's past. I think I'll buy the blue Atoll 300 you showed. It's a lovely colour and I've not yet regretted buying brightly coloured statement pieces.
    Anyway I'll shut up. Great video, really enjoyed it and hope you are having fun making them!

    Having reached a total of 18 CW watches at one point, you could say CW is safely my favourite watch brand when affordability and design variety are considered. I'm down to 11 now, but I am eyeing up a 12 Ti.
    If you focus on CW for your content I'll be back.

      Will probably look at a 12 v PRX at some stage, I'm just hoping they bring out the trident bronze in a smaller size at the moment ^^.

    certina - try one of those...i think the New GMT is the ultimate rolex killer (lol).
    my favorite watch brand is tudor actually - my pelagos in titanium, i think the dial is just one of the greatest things ever made.
    my favorite watch though is my rhodium dial yachtmaster 40....i'm scared to wear it in london but when i do boy oh boy, that slab of platinum hidden under my jacket sure does make you walk on water lmao.

    Great video. Many thanks. Have you had a look at Farer ? Great watches with a bit more individuality than CW.

      @ImpulsiveWatches  Před 7 měsíci

      I've had a good look at Farer, I like a colourful watch for summer and they have a fair few in the Aquamatic range, not a fan of the handset on those though. I do quite like their moonphase and their cushion case so maybe in the future.

    I just took the delivery of my CW in Ti with a purple dial... which I must admit I've chosen simply because it was the least intrusive option... the dial variation choices for the Ti option are terrible to say the least which is totally beyond me. I love the watch but it could have been so much more with a simple black dial... something that GM Laureato did so well... albeit for a lot more money. I ordered my Christopher Ward in the midst of summer which would make it a great allrounder but honestly... with its gradient dial, I don't think it has a chance during winter office days. And it's a shame. The frame of the watch is great!

    • @ImpulsiveWatches
      @ImpulsiveWatches  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Yeah I get that the gradient is a bit more of a statement than you might want to make on a daily basis.

    I bought a C63 GMT because everyone on CZcams said how great they are. I’m so disappointed. This doesn’t look or feel like the over 1000 I spent.
    Do believe the hype.

    Hey can you please get back to me.
    Is all the footage of the twelve the glacier blue? I just ordered mine and wondering if it changed colors like in the video or if you had two doff twelves

    Would a metal band on the trident allow you to use it for dressier occasions?

    • @ImpulsiveWatches
      @ImpulsiveWatches  Před 14 dny

      It would, but if you want a dress watch I'd go for the C63 over the trident.

      I know what you mean, but the idea behind the channel is these are watches I've bought to own and keep and not just to review. So I can treat them however I want, gives the channel something a little more unique about it. I've only got one watch I'm actually precious about and it's not been on the channel yet ^^.

  • @yagizbabo
    @yagizbabo Před 8 měsíci +1

    Its funny im trying to decide between these exact 2 watches and your video doesnt help at all ! I dont have a diver so I really want to 38 mm black dial trident but I dont wanna feel like I could have got a better quality watch from the same brand for the same price lol. Do you think there is a difference in quality or its just your personal preferance overall ?

    • @ImpulsiveWatches
      @ImpulsiveWatches  Před 8 měsíci

      Sorry for not replying sooner, have been away from home. I definitely wear the 12 a lot more than the trident, they've got different use cases, but unless you're actually going to be diving, the 12 makes more sense overall in my opinion.

    GS is my grail, also the watch that makes me want to learn horology.
    That twelve is beautiful AF tho.
    Currently i am wondering whether purchasing homage GS, or imitation as placeholder is one for me.
    Mind you, i believe GS in my position is attainable albeit expensive purchase, and i had other priority.

    • @ImpulsiveWatches
      @ImpulsiveWatches  Před 8 měsíci

      I''ve not made a video on it yet, but there are plenty on CZcams, the citizen NB1060 is comparatively very cheap, and I think it''s about as close to a GS dial as you're going to get for well under a thousand if you're looking for a suitable placeholder.
