Never satisfied, as usual, would love to see a batted ball distance comparison between two. You know me, always making you work!! LOL

Penn State did a study and after 500 hits, the composite bats had a ball exit speed increase of 2.5-3.5 mph. They were Softball bats though, so not sure if that makes a diference.

Excellent video! Very interesting. I've always wondered this. I wonder though if that might be, because it's a usabat? Like maybe the USSSA bats broke in more since there is less of a standard?

This was published in OCT. Here we are in baseball season so probably another 500-1000 swings in..... Is there any difference? Wondering if there is an extended break in for the USA Bat standard?

Great clip as always. I’d always wondered what your swing was like. :)
With regards to the Rawlings, how do those bats usually hold up? We are now in 11u and since starting the journey in 6u/7u it seems the Rawlings bats are always the first with a dent.
I usually tell my parents to stick with the Louisville Slugger & Easton.

Honestly, we really like the Rawlings Quatro. It seems to hold up well, but won't be able to tell until a lot of people start using it lots and write reviews online. But, Rawlings is legit, we think.

I just got done with an Easton bat. It was a half and half bat. It snapped at the compositr handle part. I am most likely never going go get Easton ever again.

Do you think the rotating is for better pop off the bat, or does it also help with the material not breaking once it's worked it, like I'd you hit it brand new without rotation would it more likely damage?

Great vid and technology... would’ve like to see the kid or yourself take the total number of swings, I would imagine that would’ve make the results a bit more significant or equal in a sense.

I bought both my son and daughter expensive composite bats last year and even after breaking them in they hit way further with alloy bats. I would love to see a video of the same hitter hitting multiple comparable alloy and composite bats and measure the distance

Yes just bought the 2019 Easton ghost for my son and he hits better with his alloy bat. I'm so pissed. To be fair he just got it Friday today is Sunday morning and he's had a total of three games with it not being broke in. I would imagine it would of atleat perform the same but it performed worse than his older alloy bat . Smh. He'll be using his alloy at games until I am sure his composite bat is broke in. You comment doesn't give me much hope.

Hey guys, In your opinion what USSSA baseball bat would you recommend in a 2 5/8? And secondly my son hits a -10, would it be a huge difference to go to a -8?

  • @ghgalarza

The difference is at least TWICE, because you are a hitting a ball that has no force on it. You have to add the speed of the ball and the bat. So at least 3 MPH.
