  • Everyone knows one parent who can’t help but get involved in their family’s love life. Corrie’s Blanche is perhaps a prime example of this as she told Ken how her daughter, Deirdre, was still in love with him in an attempt to get the couple back together. So, where do our panel stand on interfering with their kids' love lives? Lucy can’t help but get involved in her 18-year-old daughter's relationship, even though she hated it when her mum added her two pence with hers. Whereas, Ruth takes a backseat approach when it comes to her son's choice of partner, but will comment on his behaviour while he’s in one.

I wouldnt interfere i would just try to give good advice but if i had any signs of my daughter being abused mentally or physically i would 100% get involved its my duty to protect my daughter as much as i can but each to there own

No unless you think they are being abused

Exactly. Our children may make mistakes in their love lives - according to us parents - but that's still no excuse to interfere.

My 26 year old son is going out with a strange woman. To keep this story short, she was caught by evidence, hacking people's phones, and using burner phones to harass people. She did this to my daughter, but my son doesn't believe us, even though the evidence is there. She's also been isolating him. I can't only blame her, because my son is old enough to open his eyes and see what's going on. I'm still concerned though.

This sounds like abusive tactics, and unfortunately no matter how old someone is, it is extremely easy to fall prey to. You normally don't even realize you're truly in it until it's too late.

The more you say the more he will withdraw. He knows how you feel you just have to trust that he comes to his senses.

All good mums are protective of there kids surely but in the case of a marriage I think you have to stand back and not interfere and hope they make the right choices ❤️😊

If parents try and meddle with their kid’s relationships, it will just drive them away.

Meddling in your kids life is completely wrong. You have to make mistakes and learn for yourself as a teenager.

You don’t own your children. Adults have to make their own mistakes. It’s none of your business as a parent

    • @kathenson606

You can’t change them but it is your business. They will do it but I have an opinion.

everyone’s entitled to an opinion of course. But no one is obliged to listen or even hear someone else’s ideas for their own life.
And it’s absolutely not your business. Because you created new life, and slavery has been illegal for years here. You have to keep in mind that you asked for your kids. But they never asked for you. So you should mind your own business.
