1 lb cavatappi or elbow noodles
5 cups beef broth (to boil pasta - optional)
1 lb ground beef (85% lean)
1 bell pepper
1 onion
3 tbsps chopped sundried tomatoes
1 cup cheddar cheese
1/2 cup mozzarella
1 cup colby jack
1 tbsp garlic paste
1/2 tsp beef bouillon
1 cup beef stock (added to meat mixture)
1 tbsp dijon mustard
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 cup ketchup
salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes - Zábava
grew up on Hamburger Helper. I will never lie but I enjoyed Hamburger Helper when my mom had to work two jobs my 12 year old brother would make this for me and my siblings he added extra cheese and served it with mashed potatoes and a side salad. He was the best. I learned a lot from him . He passed away from cancer last year and it miss him .❤

I have some leftover tortellini from Costco (you know, the HUGE helping place) and didn't know what to do with it. Yep, it's going to in this HH tonight!! Probably don't need as much cheese, but the rest of the ingredients to make the hamburger something special will be used. Salivating already!!

Good morning Matt 😉 Good ol Hamburger Helper…brings back some memories. This was a staple in my house waaaay back when. My Mom cooked it outta the box with no additions except salt & pepper on the ground beef. I didn’t know what really tasted good as a child.
I make this a lot but I’ll make it diff every time. I gotta try it with bacon next time

That looked excellent. I like your choice of cavatappi for the pasta. Raechel Ray taught me to use Cavatappi several years ago. I can't always find them. I like the ridges. Not understanding why you use a boxed beef broth and beef powder to. As you say, super easy to make and very customizable for your tastes and ingredients available. The sundried tomatoes is a great addition to a meal like this. Great video.

I’ve used Hamburger Helper once or twice and regretted it. Waste of money. I think Hamburger Helper is more for people who can’t cook and don’t know which seasonings go together.

Lookin' good! I never had Hamburger Helper until I was about 24 yo. My cousin was pregnant, and the commercial came on tv, so she wanted to tey it lol. We went to the store, bought the stuff, and then I cooked it. I guess it was okay.

I think this recipe's great, it is a staple.I'm sure everybody in America has had this @ least once.Or twice in their life, I think this recipe is Great, but I would probably do it partially with velveta. And maybe 2 other sharper cheeses, but the ideas are on point , good job, Matt.
