- I graded each new Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tracking coming in Wave 5 of the DLC. Which ones are the best? Which ones are the worst? Are there any that are trash?

I’ve been hearing a lot of people say that Moonview Highway made it in to replace GCN Mushroom Bridge. I’m assuming it’s the case, because I still think the final track to end off this dlc is Wii Rainbow Road. It’s legitimately the perfect track for a send off.
Mushroom Bridge is also very similar to Mushroom Ridge

Vancouver Velocity is my most exciting track for me and Squeaky Clean Sprint is a close second
Vancouver and Sunset Wilds are the tracks I’m most excited for in Wave 5! I’ve been tired time trialing the same tracks over and over again, so these tracks will give me a warm welcoming and fresh feeling!
Vancouver is gonna be so much fun. Can't wait for Tuesday night when the wave drops
Athens Dash is kinda like Dry Dry Desert but without the desert theme and it’s in a town

Now imagine if the instead of the wii rainbow road everyone is expecting for wave 6 its the gba one instead. That would be pretty funny i think

I'd much rather have Daisy Cruiser over Wario Collesium. We wouldn't get any new music from that track cause it's already in Waluigi Stadium.

Well knowing how the tracks are now... We might see a regrade video. This has to he one of the most unique wats of ranking tracks I have seen and its always fun to see one per wave.

Using *my* grading system, here's my thoughts on the tracks:
Tour Athens Dash: low B or high C
I don't have much to say on the og track since I don't play tour but so far the city tracks have been mostly solid (outside of Paris and Berlin being mid tracks) so I'm hoping this can keep that train going
GCN Daisy Cruiser: high to mid A
I have somewhat of a soft spot for the track particularly cuz pf MK7 and I'd imagine it'd similarly to that version
Wii Moonview Highway: low S
Going off the music alone, this might be the second best of wave 3 just behind...
SCS: mid S
The theme alone cements this as the best track of the wave
Tour LA Laps: mid C
Unlike Athens, I don't this will keep the train going on the good city tracks as I'm not a huge fan of the music in comparison to some of the other tracks but maybe my expectations will be subverted
GBA Sunset Wilds: low B
While I want to rate this higher because of the theming, I feel as if it'll play a bit simplistic compared to most of the other tracks in the wave
Wii Koopa Cape and Tour Vancouver Velocity: high A
I have similar thoughts with Koopa Cape and Daisy Cruiser but as for Vancouver, I'm stoked for the music in particular and as for how it'll play, I'm not sure *but it better be worth it

I wonder how Daisy Cruiser will be on 200cc seeing as the track is pretty tight.
I think it will be much more fun on 200cc! Some of the turns are pretty tight even on 150cc.

I hated Daisy cruiser in mk7, but I think I’ll like it in this one!
Also, SCS seems to be a square so not that interesting of gameplay

Words can not describe how excited I am to play these tracks (and as Wiggler) Tuesday night. Here are my pre-release grades that will most likely change once the wave drops (from S to F)!
Athens Dash: A+
Daisy Cruiser: B+
Moonview Highway: B
Squeaky Clean Sprint: A-
Los Angeles Laps: S
Koopa Cape: B+
Sunset Wilds: C-
Vancouver Velocity: S
@nintendofan6499 I have a good feeling the sunset will be in the track. It's mainly the track layout that isn't impressing me much, but it could surprise me like Riverside Park did with its gameplay. Again, these scores are subject to change after release.
I would give la laps a b because I really loved the sunset from tour and they removed it from mk8
We don’t know that as they showed like one millisecond
First things first. There will be no S or A grades handed out by me this time around. The entire Wave has been tainted by one course in particular, and it will be very easy to tell which course that is when I hand out my first-ever Trash grade... if I decide not to come up with a grade even worse than that.
Now, the grades.
B: Athens Dash, Daisy Cruiser (even though I too would prefer Wario Colosseum, I'm not going to let that lower my grade of Daisy Cruiser below a B, especially when grading a wave in which S and A are off the table), Moonview Highway (would have been an A if I were handing those out this time), Koopa Cape, Vancouver Velocity
C: Squeaky Clean Sprint
Trash: Los Angeles Laps (this is the course alluded to in my opening paragraph, and it should surprise absolutely nobody who has been around at any point when this course and I have been in the same discussion, as even a Nintendo makeover failed to make LA look good, but I will say the parts of the course that aren't specifically tied to LA do actually look good, so fans of the course like Matthew have a tiny sliver of hope that I might eventually change my mind on this one... but don't count on that happening before Wave 6)
Uncertain: Sunset Wilds (either in the area in between A and B or joining Moonview Highway in the "would have been A if LA had been kept out of the game" tier if the scene from 4:56 is included, or joining LA in Trash if that scene is not included)

I’m not sad that it’s getting added, just disappointed, Wii’s roster was so spread out and unique, but Koopa Cape just felt like a boring generic track that should’ve been in the Mushroom or Flower Cup instead of the Star Cup. In my opinion, it’s the most overrated track from Wii’s Nitro Roster
This is the least mediocre of the 3 mediocre waves so far imo (Wave 1, 3, and now 5)

To me all Tour tracks except for Yoshi's Island, Merry Mountain, and the ice cream track 'none of which I count as Tour tracks' are trash to me since I don't care about Mario Kart Tour I'd rather get tracks from other Mario Kart games esp a PacMan track since I never got a chance to play those Mario Kart games.
Kid, you do realize it’s possible to hate Tour and enjoy its tracks simultaneously, right? Cope about 3 cities in wave 5
