its a nice phone, i just dont feel like upgrading from my s20 yet
Since the updates of the whole system and the updated apps, it got way too slow even in 2020. The included apps like the IR remote app (forgot the name) was very pervasive with notifications and couldn’t be deinstalled. Leave it in the past, that's my recommendation
I missed when phones were like this. Such a wonderful design.

@@Michael-tm6vs no, it still wasn't. Pretty standard size actually. It's basically the same size as an iPhone 6, and alot of other big-name android flagships were much bigger (such as the nexus 6P and even the nexus 5 a whole year before)

I know it's shallow but i find my self watching every single one of his videos because of the quality. Like most of the time it's not even about the tech that he's reviewing that brings me back. He's one of the few content creators that offers videos in 4k and just beautiful visuals, and transitions that use the full potential of my monitor. Great review Marq.

I have Edge 6... phantastic phone. Used it for every single day since 2015. Drpped on floor, my kid plays with it and it still holds its feature. The screen feels so nice and futuristic. The Edge phone is not a phone it is art

I wanted to come back and watch a review video for my first ever flagship phone and still remains my favorite one. My parents got this phone for me for my senior year of high school, I felt so cool with it because only 3 people in the entire school had this phone.
I'm watching this video in 2023 because I miss this phone so much. It was my first Samsung Galaxy and I had it in gold 😍. Now I use the S23 Ultra (an amazing phone 👌) but the S6 Edge will always remain my favorite.

Watching back on this, it's crazy how far we have come in the technology industry, this phone was so revolutionary. Compare this phone to something like the galaxy 10 it's crazy
Watching this in 2022. It's so nice to see how back then phone displays were smaller and 5.5 inch was considered very big. In 2022, I'm using an iPhone 13 Mini, loving the small display, but 5.4 inch is considered tiny these days. How times change.

Holy shit 3 years ago!!!! It's scary how quickly time goes by! I have the plus version it's held up very well I've been using it for music and photos recently since I upgraded to the s9+ the edge is even better on a 3 year old phone than Samsungs current flagship there's just more edge

I totally agree with your summation on the S6 Edge ***** . I think it looks really cool and like the functionality of the note/alarm clock but don't think its worth an extra $100. I get a feeling the price will shrink closer to the regular S6 over time. I probably place it face down on a regular basis unless I had a tempered glass screen protector on it, lol.

It's a pretty awesome phone and Samsung actually got some things right this time, but still needs room in improvement software wise. I haven't really found any real use for the edges yet, but it does look cool and being different matters today. Look at the piss poor sales of Nexus devices. The phone isn't that fragile even when you have the thinnest case on it. I do highly recommend some sort of case on it because one simple drop your precious phone will chip and who wants a phone with scratches and chips in it? Screen protector would ruin this phone.
James M I think it's safe to say that Nexus devices don't have as many sales as Samsung/LG/other big brand phones because they don't advertise nearly as much. There are plenty of people who don't know what a Nexus is, but know all about Samsung cause they cram ads in our gobs everywhere all the time.

i love watching old MKBHD videos.
This was my first phone, and honestly, it did really well. After 5 years the battery drained really fast, but it was such a lightweight design. I really enjoyed the lights for notifications.
Decided to take a trip down memory lane and look up my favorite and first flagship phone that I ever had and found this comment. I loved the edge lighting but I think you still have that (at least for texts) on some new Samsungs.
