@@Leee275well, more accurately, the planned sequel became Federation Force instead. I still love that game even though most hate it. As far as games on the 3DS go, it's a 4 player co-op FPS game. That's enough for me to enjoy it still. Even if it is not the game I wanted at the time, I can look back on it now and appreciate it for what it is. A true sequel still needs to happen, imo. But Hunter's seemed like an awesome series for the handhelds exclusively... Now that the Switch is taking that over, idk if I'd even want another "Hunters" but at least an official sequel to this. 😕 Kinda lame, I hope handheld gaming makes a comeback. It's underpowered lofi aesthetic/nature and capability to blow expectations out of the water is something I miss a ton. But as technology gets more powerful, I'm not sure how feasible/realistic that reality even is anymore. I miss when console and handheld gaming lived together side by side. It's just not the same anymore, lol. Nowhere near as novel like it was.

The final boss in this game is more persistent than anything I've seen in a Metroid game. As for the Omega Cannon, Samus wasn't fazed at all by what the Alimbic Elders thought of it because she does what she HAS to do to bring down whatever's capable of threatening the galaxy. Even if it means using a weapon of mass destruction. She's willing to blow up a planet to stop an intergalactic threat, so she'd have no problem using a weapon that would be dangerous if it fell into the wrong hands.
Your aim D: Also you should've probably used the imperialist or the electric weapon (for got the name) on the orb. That powerbeam DPS was just depressing unless you got some well placed and timed charge beams. (PS: I know this video is 11 years oldl :P)
I didn't shoot the coloured triangle things on the walls, so when I defeated Gorea the first time, I didn't have to defeat him a second time, but Goliath blew up and I didn't get the Omega cannon
Just watching a federation troop, space pirate, vhozon, kriken, dimont, and emona being drained of their power and listening to the different hunter themes just made me feel sorry for killing then, And gorea with the imperialist, instant kill
What makes you say that? Sylux survives in Prime Hunters, you can see his ship escaping the Oubliette. Thus it is very likely that we see his ship at the end of Prime 3.
You know. I hear in the Wiki that there's 2 seal spheres because of the one he's trapped in and the one that is attached to him.. I thought the one that contained him compressed into pure energy or something and that's what you see after it explodes with him under the seal sphere energy. Because It was already Fathomless with power because Gorea was the engine, I doubt double fathomless makes sense. Gorea could communicate through an alternate dimension of the infinity void to reach different planets and different galaxies(Since All the hunters were in the same galaxy, but Samus wasn't since it was new to her and the federation I think), and Gorea likely can do what the Alimbics can with Mental Extra-dimensional exploration. And there was like 8 citizens who put their psychic energy into the seal sphere, so would that make Gorea Multi Extra dimensional(I know that sounds dumb) But would it add an extra phasing, or stay the same?
This game just made it to the Wii U Virtual Console. What are the basic controls? I'm still contemplating on whether to get it, but I'd like to know all the same before I make any decisions. When I say basic controls, I mean as in what buttons do what if at all possible.

At what point did this game EVER introduce the concept of "this weapon is weak against this weapon"? I am trying to fight Gorea but I haven't a clue which weapon is strong against which, because it was never even hinted at.
They did that throughout the entire game actually. Especially during the second time you visit a space station or planet. By then, a lot of the enemies use projectiles like the other hunters and scanning them will reveal what these enemies are weak against (for example those ice wasps are weak to fire, and the fire wasps are weak to ice, etc). It's been a while since i played the game, but I think even scanning the hunters themselves reveals their weaknesses. I am honestly surprised that you didn't pick up on that. The game was not at all trying to be subtle with this stuff. It's about as much in your face as Metroid Prime 2's Ing being weak to light.
Ok, i am gonna say it: No the Oh-My-God Cannon is NOT the ultimate power. It is actually the Seal Sphere, the yellow ball that gives Gorea these awsome powers. But, the seal sphere was designed to stop his powers, but it ends up just making him even more over-powered.
I thought Gorea himself was the ultimate power due to how this thing wiped out an entire super advanced civlisation on its own and only grew stronger from it.
Remember those different colored symbols on the wall while fighting Goreas 1st form? You need to shoot them with the weapon that matches their color, and in the right order: Yellow = Volt Driver Green = BattleHammer Orange = Magmaul Blue = Shock Coil Purple = Judicator Red = Imperialist If you manage to hit them all in the right order, you'll get a message from the Ship. Consider it as a sign on that you did it right. Then go on & beat Gorea.
They should have saved this for 3DS and done a 2D Metroid on DS. 2D games scale well even back to the GB/GBA, but polygonal games look awful on DS's 256x192 resolution.
this game is so boring. and it seems like the max amount of sqaures of energy tanks goes halfway to the end of energy bar. and can get up to 95 missiles I think. but missles are pointless in this game. because there are weapons. and there are no special equipment. boring.
@@guardian8926 I don't know if that's a good excuse for the game having no special equipment. The DS would have been capable of this. The reason isn't that "it's the DS", but that the devs decided to make this a multiplayer shooter first and a single player game second. That's why the single player is largely made up of multiplayer arenas and all the equipment you can find are just the weapons of the different playable hunters from the multiplayer.
