Bruh I remember running into a hacker vs hacker lobby. It was so much fun to wach them fight, our hacker was using bamboo with burst bomb spam and the other hacker was using infinite range dynamo roller 😂

Man I miss the crazy specials. Even though they were unfair, they were unfair in a good way. I’ll never forget begging my mom to let me stay up so I could play Splatoon 1 splatfests.
And now we have 3 where a lot of the special are based off 1 and we’re getting kraken in 10 days

I don't think I've ever seen this much gameplay of the range blaster in splat 1, and seeing that I never got the chance to play with not just a usable range blaster but a GOOD range blaster makes me realize just how much I hate how terrible Nintendo is at marketing splatoon, I had a Wii U and didn't even know splatoon existed
Not gonna lie.. I thought the range blaster originated from Splatoon 3.
I've been a Splatoon fan since the middle of Splatoon 2's hayday.
I would very much like a crane on a new map in s3. And I wish it could be used for a short cut, like a crane that your could ride in between the two decks at mid in camp triggerfish. Also I would be the happiest player if the crane was in a good spot on a good map.
I feel like it would be the map with the wall e blocks I forgot the name of.

Honestly this is the normal for splatoon lobbies these days I’ve ran into many hackers.
Some do it for fun
Some so it to troll
And there’s the ones that turn a regular turf war match into a rank match and I actually loss points for that once
I decided a few weeks ago that I wanted to play the original Splatoon online for the first time ever (I had the game but wasn't ever interested about online until the second game came out). I was aware of it still having an active server as well as quite a few hackers. The first stage was Camp Triggerfish and someone on the opposing team had infinite inkzukas. That was a fun experience.
Splat1 mahi is so much better than in splat3, i completely forgot what the old map looked like 🤦♂️ they messed it up so much

Watching videos like this makes me even more upset at how badly they massacred Mahi Mahi Resort. I never played Splat1 so my only experience playing Mahi is the Splat3 version, which has its moments but it's laughable that Nintendo calls it the same map. Hammerhead's also up there as a map that did not deserve to be so drastically changed to the point of being practically unrecognizable. I hope we somehow get old Mahi back because I'd love to play it!

Like it’s just crazy how the devs design philosophy timeline can be represented by the transition from kraken to crab tank. S1 with very traversable maps and lots of flank routes and active, somewhat skill requiring anti-camping specials like kraken, bubbler, zooka and then better zoning/displacement with wail and then inkstrike thankfully culminating in triple is. Now we have camping an area, the special in crab tank. The competitive community would see a sharp increase in the quality of competition if we could somehow transition to a game that combined the better parts of each which would likely be possible through modding before anything else. 🤷♂️🤷♂️

I have encountered 2 hackers in the first Splatoon. The first hacker inked the whole map, and the second hacker made the colors unnatural (like red, white, etc.).

Things like if the servers will ever be reopened, why their closed and stuff like that?
Completely fine if you don’t, just a little request since I know it’s hella late but I want to buy splatoon 1 myself, but I need to know the proper status of the game so I don’t end up spending money on the story mode alone.
