Splatoon 3 campaign wins with the boss fights and overworld since Octo expansion doesn’t have any unique boss fights besides agent 3 and their is no overworld (unless u count the central station as one). Level design in splatoon 3 is a mix of the splatoon 1&2 campaigns with octopus expansion. So i feel in gameplay splatoon 3 wins however the story in octo expansion is more interesting especially the main villain and the mystery of the deepsea metro. Also the endgame of octo expansion is better then splatoon 3 but honestly not by much since splatoon 3 also has a pretty strong endgame.

The maps are now actually really amazing. Still doesnt stop Chargers though. Which shouldve been the biggest reason to rework them.

ILY Chara but I cannot agree with the wishes to balance a game like Splatoon around what top level players want. I'm sorry but that's exactly the kind of stuff that sucks the fun out of casual games. It just is. I for one am really happy that Nintendo has mostly casual players on their mind foremost. I know there's plenty valid arguments to be made for both sides of this argument, such as how not catering to hardcore players leads to "evangelist alienation" but I just wanted to give my two cents because Splatoon is so FUN, and I'd hate for it to be sweaty all the time. Perfectly balanced isn't always fun.

Im an undercover main, and i dont get very mad when people say it is the worst, i know that it is, i still have fun with it. But i do need to say this as a disclaimer, i have seen some onetricks that can get really good results against, not in tournaments, but they are very good, you just need to get good with it, anyone can be good with it, and any other weapon if you are determined, i used to be a forge main, and it was really fun, i dont care abkut its strength in tournaments, i care if im good with it and i have fun with it

I greatly dislike the wellstring, it feels too OP in casual settings and i feel like a criminal for using it, Hittinh people that are sitting right behind tall walls should not be a thing but it looks like some of the rockets go literally straight down instead of an arch. I have died behind walls plenty because of lag, i didn't need more ways to die behind walls even without lag.

They need to release other games set in this universe. I love splatoon but being where I live means I can't really play the game all that much.

Honestly the only problem for me is that it takes it right to the end, now if it was further back it would function as a pseudo checkpoint, but as is, it's quite the problem.

If this is the last big season that's fine, but please don't ditch this game already. It's not even 2 years old yet. I'm not someone who can spend a whole lot of time playing this game and am sometimes forced to take big breaks (college lmao). I don't want this game to already leave. Most games I've played stick around for years and years, I don't want this game to pull a Call of Duty and spit out a new game 2 years after the last. I don't mean to sound harsh or rude, I just really don't want them to ditch S3 for atleast another 2 years. Especially since like I said, this game is not even 2 years old yet, like why are we already wanting a new Splatoon game? Before people say it, yes I know S4 is probably quite a few years out. I just hope it stays that way because this game is really fun, it's in a great spot for balance and a great spot for more casual splatters like me.

something I dont really understand is why everyone is assuming this is the last season, weren't we told that we would get 2 years worth of catalogues? Wouldn't that mean that we would be getting one around the 2 year anniversary in a few months? If I'm wrong then let me know but I just don't understand why we're assuming it's the last one, especially when no advertising for the season ever mentioned it being the final update anywhere

I can understand the split in special weapons honestly. Splatcolour screen and triple splash down are the newest specials, of course they’re gonna be low in numbers! Also, tenta missiles was kinda broken, so its good to limit it to 5
