Yeah, you just need to get out of squid form first
It literally starts gliding you automatically. If people can't figure out that they can fly to the side during that after getting hit by it a few times, then I dunno, man.
pro tip you can use Pearl drone to glide everytime you jump or get blown away by something 😭 you dont even need to press anything, just be in your humanoid form and youll glide automatically. theres like at least three times in this video where you couldve avoided losing a life by gliding ahsjdvaha

@@unebaguette9745 yeah its like the paraglider, you can it when you want by pressing the jump button in the air but it forces you to glide in sideorder when you fall without doing anything (shooting or swiming).

Ooh nice, i had to beat it with only one hack that is getting two life to beat it. My first no hack tries fails at 28 floors. My mistake was i pick the danger floor and got strong jellopy and all floor inked, i got overwhelming in 10 sec.

The Octo Shot kit they give you in Side Order is something I want to see in multiplayer. Replace Splat Bomb with Burst Bomb and boom, easy 3rd Splatershot kit that is also a reference to VShot from 2.
It would've been fun if they made them third kits. Means they don't have to add as many if they add them during a season update.

It also would have been neat if each alt skin for Splattershot in multiplayer had a different kit.

As much as i like doing low-hacks runs as challenges, i still wish that there were secret bosses like in octo expansion. Like imagine fighting against each of the idols for each of their pallates like inner agent 3
There's 2 ways to do Agent 8's palette:
No hacks except maybe extra life
Every hack possible since you don't get punished more after like 8 hacks
Gonna throw this out here: if you set the pearl drone hacks that give extra ways to charge the drone meter, max out floor reset and pick eight’s palette you can get a run going effectively with no hacks or chips if you only pick chips that charge the drone meter. My record as of typing this is Floor 22. Good luck to anyone who takes this on!
Or you can focus on chips that actually help you directly, not waste your limited hacks, and beat floor 30.

If you watch in slow-motion for the tentacle death you can see that there are little circles around the tentacles that mark where you can get hit by them, you were on the edge of them, vut still inside them so it's not pure bs
You still have one more challenge ahead of you in Side Order. Complete a low hacks Agent 8 pallet. I believe 4 hacks or less will get you the badge, its been a while since I did it

The palette run is genuinely easier if you just don't use any hacks.

The Chip grind is still hard because Some Chip upgrades are harder to max out , Like for example the Red Spalattana ones , because you get LUCK chips all the time and damage chip like that one ate Rare in that run.
Without all of Marina's hacks to help you, Overlorder becomes a NIGHTMARE to battle. Took me MULTIPLE tries to beat, but not as bad as Inner Agent 3.

I would suggest you go back and try fighting Inner Agent 3 again. You're not wrong, just not as right as you may think.

@@Turboidkwhattoputhere Its fine. The point of my first comment was that Overlorder is so much harder without Marina's hacks. I never beat Inner Agent 3, but I beat Overlorder with as few as 4 hacks.

I love how everybody has a different approach to this challenge.
Some people have little to no hacks but pretty much the entire pallette, some have all the hacks but only one row of chips, and others strike a balance, like Chara did here
The end screen at the end goes so hard
Actually, I found that if you complete hackless with any weapon besides octoshot, the endscreen has a cool glitch effect
Final Challenge though, why can’t we have a Final Boss, it really would add something big to Side Order. Maybe even Inner Agent 4😂
They kinda already made an Agent 4 boss which is Parallel Canon but fighting the real Agent 4 would be cool lmao

You should try a Side Order Hackless Ironman run; do all weapons all in one run including Octoshot, which means climbing the Spire 12 times in succession = 360 floors in total without dying or else the Ironman run must be reset from the beginning 😊
I've done every weapon hackless separately and yeah that's not gonna happen. way too much luck involved

I did a total no-hacks run with Eight’s palette and I found that getting a lot of lucky chips was super helpful, especially lucky bomb chips

When the tentacles launch u up and over the void, just glide back, u probably knew that and just paniced but thats how u deal with that attack, when it launches u, just like lauching u from ur broken armor hack or the bounce pad enemys or the launch pads pointed up, theyre there for u to use to glide with
Using all hacks on octoshot is surprisingly easy, despite the limited pallette. It's also the best way to farm prlz.

I honestly think 8's palette with no hacks is easier than with a few hacks because a full pallete is always busted
So just for an idea
For a sub, I came up with an ink turret It sort of looks like a beacon and you can also place three like it to. It also spins, and you can get detected or hit by it from about the radius of the circle grate in the middle of crab leg capital. And you can break it. Also, the ink it takes from your tank is about the same as a suction bomb. Take care 😄
I did not know about the skipping floors thing TBH. I did this Pallet completely Hackless and it took me a few days to get. I think like under 20 tries for me? Either way, it was so freaking difficult, I had Order take me out with it's Reefslider too many times.
But I got my Tism Badge, and I wear it proudly.
I clearly remember the time when I managed to unlock this challenge. I wasn't interested in completing it without my hacks, so I decided to play with only six empty slots available for chips. It was a difficult experience, but it wasn't as bad as the Splattershot palette run. I still have nightmares about that one, I just really hated it.
If anyone is curious, this is what I ran:
[Atk Speed] 2
[Piercing shots] 1
[Shoving shots] 1
[Swiming speed] 1
[Pearldrone - Triple Inkstrike] 1
I still wish this DLC has a very hard secret boss fight like Octo Expansion had.
(I mean not like hard because we use low hacks, but like an entirely new boss that is just different than the usual ones)
I did this with just one level of damage hack and color chip bias. It took a while, it was pretty fun.
Fun fact, the no hack bonus doesn't count as a hack since it's more of losing all prls if died. Basically making this challenge more fun.
You can get a badge if you clear the spire with 0 hacks 8’s palette

I find it funny that in a hackless run Eight's pallete is actually one of the easiest ones due to skip floor. It's just an easier version of 4's pallete which is already one of the easier hackless ones I feel since Shot is so versatile.

The only hack you really need is the extra life. Since you _are_ still using shot, getting more chips would be better in the long run.
OctoShot without hacks was actually so free lmao
When I did my first and last run I only had a max of 6 chips. I was shocked that I made it through in one run. All the hacks and extra lives don't make it much easier. I lost all of my extra lives on a danger floor with no drone.
I just thought of this like using either lots of chips with not many hacks or lots of hacks with not many chips, so I beat this on my first try with all the hacks and just getting all the main firing chips
that tentacle death was CRUEL.
I remembered do this, but my pallet only has 8-10 remaining slots. Still was able to beat it.
Took me 5 or 6 attempts to complete this challenge Hackless, but it was definitely a great experience. 👍
I tried the first time using Agent 8 Octoshot without the Hacks and after finishing the challenge and Completing it without dying you get the Special badge for your Splashtag banner.
my sleep-deprived 2 am self decided to go all out with Eight's Palette so I went in with no hacks whatsoever (except Risky Rewards). It was quite the experience but somehow I managed to clear first try???
I would not recommend this route lol, especially because you can get the special badge with four or less hacks. Don't be me, the stress and adrenaline was too much😅

Ngl I just like to go through the tower with 8’s pallet Hackless. I just like the idea of less hacks for more space for pallet chips. My goal is to finish one run with max pallet chips with 8’s pallet
octoshot no hacks was some of the worst pain I’ve ever experienced 😭😭😭
I wish there were custom biases because I want to have a full firing speed and main save build
i was struggling hard, then I decided to go in with zero hacks and just pick up as many chips as possible which turned out to be way easier than doing ~4 hacks and 12 chips. I usually play with only 1 life though, so I was used to dying being a run end
i was playing without hacks before i unlocked this pallet, so it was kinda disappointing cause it literally didnt change my run at all lol.
I did the 8 pallette hackless a few weeks ago. It took me 40 tries! Never again!
Honestly I did the exact opposite and turned on all hacks and while I had only like 8 chips it made it way easier for me to beat it

6/6/2024: I finally got it, after I gave up for months I finally got lucky enough to get it. You don’t know how relieved and emotional I am right now.
I thought you had to complete the challenge with no hacks so I did and it took so many painful retries 😔

Its not really thst bad i just focused on what little i could bring and thsts damage and mobility and i gave lots of effort with Overlorder just fine
Took me 34 tries to complete Eight’s palette with no hacks. I died mostly on pass 20 floors.
But was finally able to beat it and got some extra rewards for it too
I beat this challange by having all hacks i had at the moment and only picked drone chips for the inly 6 slots i had
I did this earlier with only 6 chips 💀
I kinda just left my hacks on and cheesed it with 6 slots
I did that final run with no hacks and no skipping.
In my opinion 8's pallete was too easy. I literally only used 1 extra life and I didn't even loose it on my first attempt

Completing a run with no hacks is not that hard. I accomplished that on my second try, although I admit I got a very good palette (lucky bombs maxed out at 90% chance + several splash damage up).
Also I have never used the damage reduction hacks, just dOn'T gEt HiT LoL
**proceeds to run around the stage like a headless chicken for several minutes in order to not get hit**

This is not even it. Let me give you something harder. I still have yet to complete it.
Max vending hacks except for those that grant guaranteed floors.
Maxmembux hacks as well
These are your only hacks but should take you down to minimum chips.
You must pick maximum difficulty on every floor. You do not get vending machines. You must pick bonus or danger if they show up, this overrides the difficulty rule.
If there is a bonus, you must complete the bonus objective or forfeit. You get one life only.
No rerolls for floors. No floor skips.
And that’s it. Basically you do a run with basically nothing and only 6 chips (chips are far more valuable than hacks IMO)
