This is so inspiring! I've been trying to start some drosera from seed in February, but had to leave my greenhouse behind in Kyiv when the war began, sometimes I wonder if they sprouted and are waiting for me back home. Hope to come back soon and start again from scratch, considering 90% of my plants probably didn't survive without care :'c

I was wondering how plant lovers in Ukraine are doing right now, about their dry houseplants waiting to be watered, and all of the flower bulbs and seeds, that were bought to plant right now :/ I hope that most of this plants are still all right and if anything dies, Ukrainian people have the money to restore their collections! Hope you're safe now and wish you can get back to caring about your plants ❤ Love from Poland neighbour:D

I've escaped with only my cat and a lemon tree I've grown from seed, couldn't leave it behind ( it was a sight to see thought, cramming into a train, cat in one hand, lemon in another x)
In good new - the bulbs I've planted in my studio back in Kyiv started to bloom!

@@nickmorfey5033 That must have been a sight to see! And I completely understand why did you take your lemon tree, as I have been growing one for myself for 4 years and it's just like my baby:D Also great to hear about your bulbs, at least something is still growing well at your place:) I wish this war will be over soon and everything would be back to normal at last

Been caring for carnivors plants for about 2 years but I only have hardy plants because I live in a desert 120⁰. I have traditional vft, like 4 or 5 varieties, a cape sundew a towering sundew and 2 types of pitcher plants I also accidently let one of the vfts dry out but I added water and they just started coming out

You should do a video about all the “diagnose what’s wrong with your plants” apps out there. Like PlantIn- for example. You could make a common plant sick in a few different ways and test to see if the apps work at all in identifying the problem (which I completely doubt, I feel like it’s a grift on new plant parents).

@@TechplantChannel Mine are the same. I use sunblaster fluorescent lights. I made sure they aren't getting too hot either. Everything varigated and coloured LOVE these lights. I think it might just be because I got my VFT from a big box store and maybe they'll just never be as good as properly cultivated VFTs. It's been about 18 months and I only gave them 1 dormancy period. We'll see though.

Very interesting. Yes, I’d love to see a repotting video. I had a Ping and it died a few days after I got it. I don’t know what was wrong. It was in a 2” pot with moss around it and I kept it wet and under a grow light. $26.00 down the drain. The seller wouldn’t even answer my email asking them what I may have done wrong. So bad experience for me. I gave up on trying to have one.

Do you know where I can find some seeds for the Sun dews and the nepenthes?
I want to try and grow them from seed not from a plant bought from home Depot or somewhere because where I live there's no nurseries to purchase them, I usually get my plants and supplies from home Depot and Lowes!

they just do it on their own, but some people will put them in the fridge and then freezer. I would try and find a more official guide online since i have never done it. IF you live in a place that has winter you can just put them outside when fall comes so its more gradual. just keep them in garage as it gets bitter cold so they dont insta die. because a pot will freeze more than say a giant bog that has earths heat if that makes sense. the pot is too exposed to handle bad winters. Hope this helps a bit

They are not. For each sundew you have more exposed soil that the gnats will lays eggs and reproduce. While carnivorous plants catch and eat bugs, they're not a solution of bug/insect control.
