Perfect, exactly what I was looking for. Works amazing, only took 20 minutes to make but will have a nice spot on the tool wall in my shop! Thank you!!!
The best ever diy corner clamp among the rest...so effortless....
Thank you!
Thank you. After watching your video I went out in my shop and made four of these out of 3/4 " plywood. My method turned out to be a little different than yours but the end result was the same. I'll be using these to make a table for my Lanai. Thank you as it was pretty easy. I just got done spraying them with polyurethane and when it's dry I'll put a small piece of Velcro on each so the same pieces stay together with each other without getting lost. Thanks again.
Your videos are always short and too the point. Thank you
I try ;) Thanks!
I mean really - isn't it great ?
Used it right away .
Isn't that something ... so simple yet effective - amazing i made one in 1/2 hour and away i went with it - as long as the angles are 45* it works beautifully. Thank you
Awesome, glad it worked for you! And you nailed it: as long as the angles are 45 degrees it works perfectly.
Great, thanks. Gonna whip some up for building some boxes. Great straightforward video!
These worked out great for me. I have dozens of clamps of various types and sizes but none of them were quite right for the picture frame application I had. Thank you!
Another great idea! Thanks.
Seems like the easiest and best way to do this! Nice work thanks for the post!

Thanks Barry!

Cool....
How can I cut the triangles without using a miter saw? I do have one, but isn't the 12" that you can pull out the blade and cut from the bottom up like you did.
I do have a jigsaw, 10" miter saw, table saw and a circular saw.
Would using plywood be just as good or should I stick to a solid piece of wood?
You know, I think plywood would actually be even better. The solid wood's grain tends to want to crack depending which way you cut it.
what size board did you start with
I made these but as soon as I apply the slightest (very light) pressure with my clamp it pushes the pieces out of alignment, what did I do wrong?
Either your notch isn't exactly 90, or your chop saw isn't square vertically.
Do you rely completely on glue for the miter joint?
Yes but I reinforce the joints afterwards with splines, especially for larger frames.

How would you do splines afterwards?
Another words after it's already glued.
@@n40tom Using a spline cutting table saw jig. I have a video about this too.

Thanks
What size hole did you drill?
An inch and a quarter I believe. That's what I used.
G.
Mine didn't work minimal pressure pushed it apart. Miters are perfect, frame itself are right on square
Good but too fast video....
Good idea. But it was speeded up WAAAY too much, at least for me. Had to pause and rewind several times even when I slowed the video down to 50% to see what was actually going on.
outstanding video, could you speed it up a bit more
So that the whole thing is a blur, and useless... Oh wait.
I couldn't agree with you more. I understand and appreciate the desire for getting to the point, but when one throws a speed square into the mix, I feel that "real time" might be more beneficial to the purpose of the video. After a series of too many pauses and rewinds, I simply held onto the concept and went in search of a video that I could actually follow. IMHO if you're going to speed through any portion of an instructional video, perhaps that's a portion to be eliminated altogether.
Brilliant!
Thanks!
Nice!
Thanks!
Why are the holes cut? Can I do this if I don't have a way to cut the holes?
I think it’s so it can hug the corners more closely and apply pressure in a way that ensures a proper 45° angle
Also to keep the clamps from getting glued to the frame.
