Behold the genius that is Miyako Watanabe.
She is utterly amazing
Yea, holy shit is right. This is why they are my favorite band.
The “old bassist” is LOVEBITES co-founder MIHO ROSANNA.
MIYAKO explained that the Roland piano is indeed an electric piano.
The choir is 100% a backing track. You will hear keyboard backing tracks in the live performances of many other LOVEBITES songs.
Wow! Okay thank you for all the information! I thought the ‘ohs’ were tracked. It’s an electric piano? I’ve never seen an electric piano in the shape of that kind before
Masterpiece!
Miyako is a generational talent who is a virtuoso on BOTH the piano and guitar. She also composed & arranged this track, as well as about half of Lovebites' discography of around 60 songs.
She can do it all!
Miyako is one of a kind! What a fantastic musician! I call it Miyako Magic!
She definitely has the magic!
Wolfpack here visiting your channel.
The most talented band on earth... You should know this by now..
I know this for sure!
That was The Miyako Show!! Composer, pianist, guitarist, all at elite/virtuoso level.
If you like the piano, watch the video where Miyako played: "Eagle fly free" (Helloween cover). It's one of 6 metal songs of her first EP arranged from Miyako on piano (awesome " Battery", Metallica cover). Thank you.
Okay cool! Thank you for your suggestions! We will look into them!
Much love!
Masterpiece.
LOVEBITES - Swan Song lyrics:
If this was the last day you could live on this earth
Would you still go on, accusing someone for today
It’s better to fail than not do anything at all
It is not the length, but depth of life that counts
Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been though despair
Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to not care
You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life
Sometimes the life of one can save so many more
Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
SOLO: miyako / both
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
SOLO: midori

It gets harder and harder to comment on these goddesses because they don't ever disappoint, always hear the word WOW again and again, absolutely mesmerising 🤘🥁🎹🎸🎤🐺
Yeah lol I’m definitely running out of creative words 😂
Behold, the power of Miyako!😊
The “Superfecta” of Progressive Hard Rock, Hard Rock Trio, Progressive Groove Metal, and Power Metal: Band-Maid, The Warning, Jinjer, and Lovebites -- all pushing their core genres into the next realm! 🤘 🤘 🤘🤘 Thx, Guys!
No problem! And yes we definitely agree with you for sure!
Chopin (pronounced Show-pan) was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the great classical composers, specializing in highly technical works for piano. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now (quite obviously) an elite-level guitarist. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák and Chopin, as well as her stated favorite, Russian romantic composer Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor), with a passage by Rachmaninoff as the outro. For this performance, she actually played the Etude as the intro, but it’s not normally included in their shows.
Wow I loved every moment reading that! Thank you
Excuse me from Japan, thank you for your detailed information. 😊Could you teach me what music "a passage by Rachmaninoff as the outro" is taken from, if you know the title? I love Rachmaninoff and own many records, CDs of his works, but I can't figure it out. I've believed it's Miyako's original so far. I love Miyako as well, so I just want to know. 🙇
@@lovezhangyan I don't have many records but I believe it's one of the Piano Concerti, maybe #2. Actually, if you can confirm or correct that I would be grateful. It's not a Miyako original, we know that from an old interview.
@@hiawatha.g Thank you for your reply. 😊Do you have any link to where Miyako said that? I missed the interview. I remember some interviews Miyako refers to Dvořák and Chopin about this song but I didn't know about Rachmaninoff. 2nd concerto is the most famous one and my favorite, so I feel embarrassed if it's so. 😅 I have a music score of it, but she plays conventional arpeggio passage here, so I can't clearly point out. I might have a preconception, a biased view that she won't use the same classic piece because she already wrote "Above the Black Sea" inspired by Rachmaninoff's 2nd concerto. I want to know what Miyako said about the outro of "Swan Song".
Lovebites doing Lovebites things. Their stage movement is usually always tied to the 'mood' of the song, and even down to parts of the song. Raise Some Hell or Dancing With The Devil would be two good examples of them being more animated, as they're both party type songs.
True! Asami had a lot more movement in those two songs
🤘🏽LOVEBITES RULES🤘🏽
the amazing beautiful miyako just doing what she does best - that would be everything.
Agreed
Miho Miho Miho!
Epic, Masterpiece.
Sometimes words can not adequately describe Lovebites. The blend of different musical styles in Swan Song can not really be described.
The part you asked about is track but Asami encourages the crowd to join in, which they do.
I like the way Lovebites don't sing about boy meets girl etc. Seeing they are all Japanese, being able to write meaningful lyrics in English, further adds to the wonder.
Asami trained at ballet in the USA for two years, I believe. The way she prowls around the stage is mesmerising.
You can hear why Haruna on drums gets called the Little Big Engine. Her drumming is so accurate and relentless, I sometimes wonder if part of it is on track? I don't believe it is though.
Miho, the original bass player and composer of a few Lovebites songs, really had the power stance off to a T. She is a big Steve Harris fan. There is a wonderful photo, of them together.
There are other songs where Miyako sits at the piano with the guitar behind her back. The speed she swings that guitar round and immediately plays it is spellbinding.
I believe all the Lovebites ladies use witchcraft to spellbind us all! 😍
I loved reading all of that! Asami has me spellbound to a T! Much love!
Music & Arrangement by Miyako; Lyrics by Asami. Miyako does not like that piano plastic keys and it's electronic. Her home piano is a Yahama Grand, a gift from her parents.
Ouu those are beautiful pianos! I can see why she wouldn’t like that one
Chopin and Metal, only LB and Miyako could blend then together. If you really want to experience classical Miyako check out her new LP where she took 6 metal songs and reworked them into classic piano pieces, it is truly amazing. Try Eagle Fly Free (Helloween) cover done her own grand piano (not the plastic electronic one used on stage) czcams.com/video/-h3BLRs0Xr4/video.html
Thank you for your suggestions! We will look into them!
Much love!
