Good reaction guys! “Swan Song, with Chopin intro” gives you Miyako playing some serious piano, “Spellbound” gives you Miyako having fun on keyboards and “Burden of Time” gives you Miyako casually playing guitar and keyboard at the same time! She is amazing! Occasionally Asami will tickle the ivories, “Today is the Day” is one song where she does, I can’t remember which other ones she does. “Today is the Day” has the added benefit of Haruna having a lot of fun with stick tricks.

Currently, the brightest representatives of not only Japanese, but also world metal music are Lovebites. An amazing band, a musical sensation from the very first moment of their appearance. This is a complete set: composing skills, arrangements, impressive texts, performing skills and stage performance. I enjoy watching Band-Maid's live releases and I have all five of their life blu-ray, including the latest Tokyo Garden Theater Okyuji 2023. But I've never had the desire to listen to their studio works. If we compare Band-Maid and Lovebites, when I think Lovebites is on a different level. And the more you watch and listen, the more it becomes obvious.

This song was composer by Miyako. I believe her years of classical piano training has resulted in a more focused approach when performing.
This was done live with such energy, emotion, classical influence. And in like Dream Theater live performance level. Imagine how amazing they will be in 10 years when they are this good right now-that is terrifying. The future of heavy and power metal is Lovebites-no doubt of that. Only love and respect for these girls

Living a life in denial can push people to the point of breaking down. On a serious note though, I understand his preference in the style of music. We all have our own taste and likes, but even Jeremy can't deny the skill of musicianship produced by lovebites is on another level. I know band maid are very good, Akani on drums and Konami and Misa guitars both brilliant, an awesome bassist and Saiki has something about her, can't really compare as different genres but nothing coming even close to lovebites lol😁🐺🐺🐺

Really waiting for the next Lovebites reaction. This song is quite mild hard rock. A genius writing song that mixes multiple rhythms. For piano and Asami sing, try the song Rising- acoustic version. Also try Rising in live or MV version. Or some power ballad, try Epiloq, Mind-blowing also 👍🤘🤘

"Moments Musicaux Op. 16 No. 4" by Sergei Rachmaninoff (Rachmaninoff) is incorporated into the prelude.
Miyako added this piece to the prelude to Live in 2019.
Miyako has also composed several other classically-inspired compositions, incorporating a fusion of metal and classical music in the introduction.
The song "Empty Daydream" has a similar vibe to Michael Jackson's "Beat It" in parts.
The song was performed by JENNIFER BATTEN, one of Miyako's top five favorite guitar heroes of the time.
I thought so too until I heard the following, which was pointed out in other reactionary content on LOVEBITES.

However, in the case of LOVEBITES' "Empty Daydream", Mr. Miyako later stated that the composition was influenced by Michael Jackson's "Beat It (released in 1982)" performed by JENNIFER BATTEN.

A black grand piano (acoustic piano) was used for the live performance of "A Frozen Serenade.
You will enjoy another talent of Asami.

I think the reason why they used a small keyboard for this gig was due to budget concerns.
The rental price of a grand piano is quite expensive in Japan.
2019 was only the third year since the girls debuted.
Japanese labels cannot provide a lot of money for such artists.
This keyboard is Miyako's personal equipment.

One of my top favorite songs by the ladies. It has everything, piano, gang vocals, guitar battles, Asami's great vocals and Miho/Haruna bass lines that just drive this song. This band is just so insanely talent they can do anything especially LIVE. Miyako is a classic trained pianist who was taught that the music demonstrates what the musician does on stage, that is why her and Midori (polar opposites) blend together so well. Miyako is a musical genius who writes and arranges a lot of their music, her brain is likely composing another song while she was playing this one LIVE. That said their return show had her moving around a lot more and if you catch her in her earlier bands you will see she was a lot more active on stage. She has been called the Ice Queen (totally unfair if you follow her YT channel, she is a real Star Wars geek) she is more a silent assassin/ninja on stage.

Artificial harmonics? Agreed, it sounds great on electric guitar with a lot of gain. I do that a lot.
This song’s baseline is super beautiful、after keychange‼️。
I used to be a Band Maid fan and started checking out their other songs in their catalogue but then finding out that some of their songs are not good or somewhat popsy and then I discovered Lovebites about 4 years ago and started listening to their discography and I was amazed that all their songs are excellent and some are masterpieces and no fillers in their albumn. Furthermore, when I listen to them live they are perfection. Band Maid have produced good songs but not Masterpieces like Lovebites and just to name some of them like Edge of the World, Swan Song, A Frozen Serenade, Epiloque, Shadow Maker, Break the Wall, Soldier Stands Solitarily, Dystopia Symphony and I can go further on . These songs will be rock & metal classics in history like Led Zep's Stairway to Heaven, Eagles' Hotel California, Metallica's Unforgiven, Judas Priest's Painkiller, Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, Iron Maiden's The Trooper, Guns & Roses' November Rain and etc. I still check out the other bands but in the end I go back listening to LOVEBITES because they are THE GOAT & I stand firm with that PERIOD.
Another song that may throw you for a loop is, FROZEN SERENADE. Asami has another trick up her sleeve and Miyako and Midori show of some additional skills.

Listen to the acoustic version for voice and piano and then watch the full metal mv with the band playing on the side of a cliff. Both amazing.
Then you will go crazy for Signs of Deliverance LIVE. If you want to see what a Vulcan mind meld is just watch when the light turn red and M&M step out front and start playing. I am stun every time I experience it!!!

LOVEBITES IS A LOT BETTER THAN ANY OTHER BANDS NOT JUST BAND-MAID; LOOK AT HOW THEY COMPOSE THEIR SONGS MUSICALLY & THE LYRICS & ALSO THEY HAVE THE ONE & ONLY MIYAKO (THE MUSIC GENIUS) THAT OTHER BANDS CAN ONLY WISH FOR.
Try Epilogue to truly tear up, that's the one that always gets me.

as you know by now amazing guitar work is the specialty of LOVEBITES. 2 songs in particular stand out for great solo sections and do not get reacted to enough. one is the live of 'signs of deliverance' posted by 'apathetic dreamscape' and the other is 'we the united ' from zepp tokyo posted by karina serrano. these songs need more daylight and i am sure they will make it into your top LOVEBITES tunes. as always both are epic.
