I'm still waiting on seeing England play some half decent football, under Southgate.
England has some decent players, who play for City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, but they play like Utd.
_Southgate_ is a limiting factor in the success stakes. England aren't winning any trophies with him at the helm.
Southgate hasn't even been the best manager. He has just had a golden generation of players & youth that it's masking over it. His win rate against top sides is truly abysmal, anyone with a brain knows he will not win anything. He is not the man for the job & never has been.
Southgate should have gone after the last World Cup. Had 3 chances already under great circumstances - good draws, home tournament, good team, no major injuries. If he doesn't do anything at this Euros it's all been a big failure.

The rules require teams to take 3 goalkeepers. North Korea tried that in 2010 and the 3rd keeper (who was really a striker) wasn't permitted to play outfield.

Southgate is the FA's woke mouthpiece. His coaching and football knowledge is very lacking, he has no idea when under pressure like in the Croatia game, and the final against Italy, both times his in game management is found to be totally lacking. Post June 2024 you'll see Once more that this will be the case. The only good thing will be that Southgate will be gone, ( At last)
England should have won the Euro final back in 2021. It was at Wembley (Home advantage) and not one of historys better Italian sides and we went and blew it.

We have a very good squad, but a very underwhelming manager. Squad depth is excellent, no doubt but so is France; I’d argue France has a better team to be honest, and they’ve got better experience in big competitions. We wont win with Southgate because he doesnt know how to win tournaments; his in game management is poor, and his reliance on his favourites has proven time and time again to be a weakness in his management . I agree with the overall sentiment; his greatest success is a loss. If he was managing at Madrid or Chelsea, he’d have been fired years ago. Getting to QF’s, SF’s etc is the minimum expectation; it shouldnt be seen as a special achievement; not with our heritage, player quality etc.

Correct, the big winners consider measure in winning trophies, not second place or semi finals, if they don't win most times they change coach and try again and all this England expects nonsense does nothing for the team combined with the media pressure, we expect not to win any major tournament we don't have that mentality, let them breathe and go for it.

why is this dude so delusionally biased about this england team being better, at one point we had, Gerrard and Lampard who both were as good as Bellingham but in reality they were better, we had Owen hargreaves as a holding midfielder who was excellent, we had Rio Ferdinand, Sol Cambell, Ashley Cole and Gary Neville who were all world class, upfront we had Rooney and Owen who in their prime were miles better than Kane, behind them we had endless other forwards, we had Beckham who was world class again.
