If the bottom of the table implode and lose everything, that doesn’t make Arsenal better.

My least favorite thing about football compared to ice hockey, basketball, American football is that the banter + tribalism is just overflowing. Football fans are on a never ending trip of tribalistic bitterness, sprinkled with an overflow of banter. This is why terms like "bottle jobs" are thrown around, it is to get under the skin of certain fanbases. And it doesn't get any more toxic than the Messi vs CR7 arguments between the fanboys.

I get both sides of the argument and trophies does dictate success more than points accumlated. But context needs to be added here.
As it stands, man city have 115 charges againest them. If they are proven guilty, this could mean that Arsenal could have won the Premier league twice, Liverpool could have won the league multiple more times and even Man utd would have won it as well.
Now, if they are proven innocent, then there is more of a conversation to be had. But challenging againest a team that has potentially cheated, they will have the advantage. That a side. Guardiola is arguably the best manager to have graced the game and will always big a big challenge to overcome for any team/manager.

I think they have progressed, but there's still a bit of fragility about them. 6 points dropped to Villa, the loss to West Ham at home, playing for a draw at Liverpool and City, holding onto a 1-0 lead at United. Title winning teams don't do this. I'm not sure this team are convinced in their own heads that they can/should win it.

Goldstein says Liverpool and Leicester have won it whilst City have dominated. Let’s clear this up. Liverpool won it once in a decade under Klopp. That’s not taking anything away from Liverpool but just shows what team the rest of the league is up against whilst Leicester won it the year before Pep arrived. Arteta’s been challenging for two seasons, last year was a surprise to everyone, they were probably a year ahead of schedule, so that means Arteta and Arsenal have been genuine title contenders for just one season. Give him a chance, if Arsenal win the league sometime in the next 3 seasons how will it be any different to What Klopp achieved?
